I got starter deck Yugi, my childhood friend got me into the game and he had multiple copies of starter deck Yugi, so he gave it to me so I could learn to play. I have sense sold most of my collection but I kept the Dark Magician from that original deck as well as a a few other nostalgic cards from m time in the game.

Back when the game first came out my Dad brought me and my friend to a store and I got starter deck Yugi and my buddy got Starter Deck Kaiba. For months we didn't play the game correctly, but we had fun so it all worked out. The nostalgia I feel with these decks was real glad to see them again after all this time.

First week I was there they didn’t have the starter decks. They only had legend of blue eyes packs. So I got 5 packs pulled a dragon champion, polymerization, darkfire dragon, flame ghost and gravedigger ghoul. So I thought you could only get spells and fusion cards as the hollows and rares. 2 weeks later got both starter decks and had them till 2018 when my childhood home burnt down.

Weird pick for a favourite OG YuGiOh monster but Neo the Magic Swordsman was always my favourite. I tried to build a theme deck around kinda magic swordsman stuff but there just wasn't the variety at the time. A moderately powerful beater at the time I could include him but that was about it. I've kept an eye out and there has been a couple of cards that are kinda related to him but nothing major. Id love a full on Neo archetype.

The newest update will show you total attack you have on your side of the field and opponent side of the field if you press the middle wheel button on your mouse, or the info icon, the next time you are about to lethal, you can see how much damage you got.

I had really forgotten how bad those starter decks were. xD My favourite monster from back in the day, from the series was Flame Swordsman. Man he's so cool... I mena hot, you know what I mean. I don't understand why isn't he at least a normal summon like he was in the show. xD 1800 fusion was very VERY hard to justify, even back then. I've spent a lot of time trying to include Blue Flame Swordsman in my decks when he came out. Had some success running him in battlin boxer deck. Anywa he's awesome and I hope some day he gets a modern retrain or wave of support so he cna be at least usable. And funny thing in Bulgaria the cards came a bit later so we had Yugi, Kaiba, Joey and Pegasus starter decks at the same time. I of course went with Pegasus, got disappointed from it, then got Joey and never looked back. xD OF course eventually got them all and entered my first tournament with an outstanding Exodia deck consisting og 60 cards... xD Fair to say I was not very good at deckbuilding back then. xD
