"This thing rips!" carpenters: Yes. That's exactly what it's doing. "I think the blades are bent" You've made them into a dado blade.
@Nostalgik64 Жыл бұрын
4 blades with 1 inch spacers between each blade should act as a pretty good tire.
@teardowndan5364 Жыл бұрын
I was thinking four blades too, but in a 2+2 arrangement (blade pair, thin spacer, blade pair) to increase the contact area around each teeth. If you apply all of the force on a blade that is only 4mm wide, the ice fractures and the ice chips get evacuated by the gap between blades. If you double the blade width to 8mm, the ice should fracture less, there won't be as much space for ice chips to evacuate and you won't dig yourself in quite as fast.

This matches the results the Hydraulic Press channel got when they tried this a few years back. They drove on a lake and just like Garage 54 they found the car was not accelerating or cornering very good.

Once the global power grid collapses and we lose all forms of conventional refrigeration, such specially outfitted Ladas will be in high demand for cutting ice blocks from frozen lakes and rivers. The refrigeration problem is thus resolved thanks to Garage 54. Thanks guys!
@psykoklown874 Жыл бұрын
Now that's some cutting edge thinking. Something about "carving a path". You should try 4 blades with every other one reversed so the the teeth give traction in both directions.
@stepvanjoe3469 Жыл бұрын
Should redo this with enough blades to have a similar thickness to regular tires

You should have sawed sewer manhole covers into saw blades with thicker steel

Now go the other way, and instead of 1 to 58, try 58 to 1. I am guessing that the car takes off like a rocket as soon as you tap the accelerator lightly. Either that, or the engine and gearbox explode.
