This is oddly symbolic for where AI censorship is headed ultimately 😂😮 You know we all live and /or work online now…. So yeah. Handing that kind of power to AI and making it totally paranoid (have you seen the censorship?!?) at the outset. Probably not a good idea. 🤷♀️ this is a cool feature and thanks! I just wanted to make a maybe super important and also funny comment 😂

Adobe needs to add that generative fill option directly to AE so you can use it with the rotobrush function frame by frame. They probably will eventually. Ideally, it would maintain coherency throughout the frames based on a choice you select to fill the first rotobrushed frame (or let you use -1 for randomness if you prefer).

Hey, nice, and happy you can go on now... As always : you don't even imagine how better in the end and how logical in the meantime it would have been if you used a nodal software, such as Fusion or Nuke; especially from around 5:06 and all forthcoming actions. But hey, I know you're in love with AE, it's just soooo impossible for me to express it each time I see any of your cool videos ;) Now, about AI : no guys, don't cry, be happy instead to have new tools which you'll be able to use quicker with all your skills. Anyway as a CGI and VFX compositor into set extensions, matte painting and stuff, that's what I really think, and clearly don't see a danger but extended new tools :)

It’s easier to composite the solid, add your clean plate in the composite, and reset the orientation of the 3D properties. Then you won’t have to readjust using a reference and it’s a much simpler quicker process.

nope. large model systems don't understand anything spatially. Literally all this video is showing is a super crappy digital matte paint process--a real artist would achieve better results in less time because they actually know what they're in 3d space and projecting using Nuke or similar. U do not have to copy full transform properties from null/solid to object> u only have to copy XYZ axis to object> also u do not have to repeat process for every object> u have create a new null then parent all objects to the null and precomp> thereafter u have to XYZ Copy properties of solid/null (created for 3d tracker ) to the new precomp null (becoz position of objects is already set in photoshop)

It’s clever but I’m still yet to see an actual professional example of something like this. Even the clean plate you could see the overlay quite clearly. Fine for a bit of fun but not sure you could deliver that to a client. I’d like to see the ability to replace views in blown out windows or remove things without any odd warping and glitches.

It might be more professional looking if one spends way more time on blending the objects into the set in photoshop - but it'd be nice if that was integrated

I love the potential here, but I have a question. What if I want to incorporate the same elements again, but from a different angle. Going back to your aereal shot of the desert with the futuristic dome, say I want to have a shot with a close up of my character and the dome is visible in the distance. Is there a way to provide context to the generative fill to recreate the same dome again? Without something like this, continuity is impossible. Got follow up tips for this? Thanks!
@brentthomasaustin Жыл бұрын
Context aware scene descriptions can be created so that you have the widest possible camera angle of said shot, then scale and blur for any tighter or alternate angles. I suppose generating similar variations of the same element which are close enough to trick the eye could possibly work as well. It’s not perfect, but pretty damn close.

I have only one VERY VERY important question before I will consider getting anywhere near this. Do they trust their customers, do they even like their customers? What i mean is is it censored? That’s my new standard. I went through hell for months with ruined projects not even ever thinking about doing anything nefarious or even negative and had to quit all the major generative ai platforms due to massive completely insane censorship ruining almost all my projects-sometimes after weeks of work thought. NO THANKS!! it’s literally pure evil to give AI this much control and power at the outset. It’s also a TRAIN WRECK.

If AI really wants to be useful in After Effects, let it know when I create a simple mask, its automatic mask color selection should choose a color OTHER than a color that matches what i'm masking. Meet me at a useful level before giving me AI things I don't need.
