Tell Kosmo that an "X" and a "+" are the same in a 90 degree build grid (if you make the X the way he did), so instead of placing 1 block at the time, he could've just dragged them to make the mark. ;D

Scrap mechanic doesn't always work like that, the way you rotate objects is weird, sometimes turning a '+' would make an '×' but sometimes turning a '+' just rotates it 90 degrees.

Hey Kan and Kosmo. I got an idea. You got another oil pond right? Build a freaking big fuel factory right there. Put loads of pumps there and loads of craft bots to craft fuel. We wanna see more of thruster Based creations. So making a bunch of oil might be a good idea. So why not build a big fuel factory? That'll be pretty epic.

one tip is to move backwards in a circle while attacking them, get used to the time where they hit and jump before. don't get scared of falling onto the bot, that will push you a bit outside. you'll get used to them :)

Another idea for the helicopter rebuild. To allow it to carry the warehouse tank, give it 4 legs, with feet pointing inward. Set them up on pistons so they start out wide and pull the legs in and up when activated. Then you can just drive the tank into place and activate the legs so they grip it securely. Definitely be a good idea to build the mechanism to the specific proportions of the tank so it can't jiggle out midair.

TiL the roof elevator DOES work, you just need to send it up from inside the warehouse then use a key on the roof. Idk why I've never tried this but neat find! Also, gunna take back my suggestion to make a simpler flyer. This dual rotor thruster helicopter thing with controller loop for throttle control is honestly pretty friggin great. At this pace you guys will 100% scrap mechanic survival soon.

Fun technical fact no one likes: warehouses spwan in a grid that offsets a little realtive to starting area, tho some warehouses if they get very bad position don't get spawned, for example you can't get warehouse on island

You could always upgrade the gas crafting bot for faster crafting speed. Also, wish that you could craft together x amount of garment boxes to get the next tier of boxes, but the recipe is gated by the clothing bot. It would unlock the recipe in the clothes bot once you, the player, have maxed out that particular tier of clothing. this also makes the trader a bit more useful again as well. one other thought, can 2 seats control 1 switch? kill switch could be a button push for the co-pilot/gunner/crane operator.

I think someone made a "map" image and figured out that the general layout of the map is the same for everyone, i.e.: there's a second mechanic north of the ridge near the other two packing stations, general location of scrap city, the large chemical plant, there's always a trader behind the first packing station, the farmer peninsula is always on the same side of the ridge from the first mechanic station but is always on a random peninsula. I believe that showed that the number of warehouses was a fixed number and the general locations were all the same but the road network between them and the actual in between generation is different.

Suggestion. Mark all the oil pools on the map. One at a time, set them up with pumps and a craftbot, so you can refuel at any oil pool. The passenger should be able to sit, then pick up a craftbot, so it has no weight while being transported (sit and lift works for crates). Quick color change on the beacons as the pools become functional.

I have regular fuel pumps for my boat around the entire continent, with no lag. It's not a matter of needing that much fuel, it's a matter of being able to refuel instead of carrying fuel (chests) to your destination AND back again.

I believe someone on the scrap mechanic reddit took a drone and they launched it in an even grid in the map and took a picture high up, so that they compiled it inti a map (Which how they did it beats me) Which 2 things... It shows how the warehouse try to be in a perfect square grid (if not for water an such they want to be on the block grid sides square from one another) And it gave a really nice map lol, but its so high effort...

If you accidentally lose your flyer by jumping out, exit the game ASAP. If the host leaves the game, everything relating to motion (thrusters and engines) will automatically shut off. That way, you can re-enter the game and find your flyer with a connection tool pretty easily.

I made the copter to experiment with upgrades I made lowering pontoons for the water (failed) a flashlight very fun and effective (success) and a button that changes the rotars to 90 degrees/ straight down for fast escape from reds (success)

Maybe add a paulse logic on a switch to the thrusters for landing. Hit the switch and the thrusters go on for 1 sec. then off for 1 sec. Not sure how it would with the rotating thrusters but it sets a drone style flyer down nice and slow.
