I don't know if you can . However if you could why not build a 15x15 or 20x20 adjacent to your house where you can display all the things that mean a lot. And name it Memories. That way you can go in,sit down , drink coffee and reminiss . Play some oldie music, dance and enjoy yourselves sharing Yesterday Once More .

And there are collectors that go nuts over old tools, toys, and just about anything. The kids might really enjoy some of those toys while they are still young too, Adler comes to mind. I know they have their noses all in their phones and such nowadays. But that's so not healthy.

Totally understand you shedding a few tears. Meant to tell you, my daughter-in-law is very sentimental. My younger sister passed away from aneurysm in 2019. She did the Bible reading at my son’s wedding, in 2018. My sister had made me 2 of the most beautiful scarves a year before she passed away. At Christmas, one of the presents I wrapped up those 2 scarves for my daughter-in-law. She was so touched. On New Year’s Eve she went to a party and texted me, “Look mom, how beautiful this scarf Aunt Marilyn made looks with my New Years top. I shed a few tears, so pleased she loved this special gift.

My dad passed away in 1999 and my mom just passed away this past October made just 2 yrs ago. I got most all of her "stuff". Trust me, I fully understand. There's things you just can't part with no matter what. I have my mom's old wash stand with the bowl and pitcher sitting on it, one of her quilt stands (need about 3 more lol) numerous things she collected and all of her dishes. God bless you both. Go get that new storage shed and get that all back on your property. Your neighbor in Bartlesville Oklahoma.

I’m almost 5 minutes into the video and I love it already! We moved a year and a half ago. Prior to our move, we rented a storage unit to store our excessive stuff in to showcase our home! After a year of renting the unit, my husband decided that we could be investing that money and so we bought a large utility trailer. Not only could we store our stuff in it, but we could use it to move our stuff! What I chuckled at was you talking about hidden money. About a year prior to the move my husband put an envelope of $1000 and taped it to the bottom of the drawer in the unit. We wanted a little cash on hand and that was our method of hiding it. Being so busy with our move, we both forgot about it. When we moved, that cabinet was at the very back of the trailer. It wasn’t until after our move did we remember the money! After many weeks of leaving the trailer untouched, we quickly unloaded it and found the envelope with $1000. The good thing about our situation was there was a need that we had that we needed money. The funny thing about it is it’s just like God. The answer sometimes is right there already provided for. Sometimes it takes just being still and listening for that still small voice. I hope you find $1000.😊

The beginning of 2024 my husband and I sold our home and became full time RV living. We went from a three bedroom house to a 39 ft fifth wheel unit. I gave away a lot and sold some. It was hard. Keep a few things, gave my 4 kids things. But we have not regretted it! We owe nothing. Just everyday expenses. We have a home base in Texas at my daughter’s house, but we also travel.

I have my late husband's. They will go to our son. I think my grandmother's rosary will go to my brother though, because he has children and grandchildren to pass it down to. My son unfortunately , has no children. I wish i had the family Bible, but my late mother wanted it when she went into the nursing home. And they threw all her possessions away when she passed.i was extremely upset about that because it had writings in the margins from various family members from over the past two centuries.😢

I can relate with you. When my kids came to "declutter" us so my son, D-I-L, 14 yo grandson and 6 month old granddaughter could move in with us for a year. I have my grandma's old treadle sewing machine that my grandma tied RG Dunn wooden cigar boxes and taught me to sew. Glass wear from my grandmas, things we bought during our various stations while in the Air Force. 23 years worth that mean something to us. None of the kids were interested. My son would have chucked it all. He kept saying "it's old". I said "so am I, should I make space in the dumpster for me?"

Yeah there is the problem with each of us we don’t want to throw stuff out or donation to a charity aka thrift store. It’s great you did not throw out the baseball cards there could be value in those cards. But the tractor is able to be sold! Now get all the boys to bring their trucks to the storage unit and take their stuff home now that gets some more stuff gone. The porch swing grandpa will be adding some hooks to their porch for the old folks swing and talk! Now once the storage unit is cleaned out you have 65 in your pocket for dinner for two some place…
