Anne this was delightful! I just finished Greg's class and found this when I was looking for paint tips! It might be worth checking out a siphon feed spray gun. They're less likely to clog up so filtering wouldn't been as tricky. Thanks for the video!

Wow, that is one beautiful chair and will only get better. Please wear PPE with non-toxic paints too. Just because it wouldn't hurt much via the digestive system doesn't mean it won't hurt the lungs. Only air is always best.

Cool technique! To spray... or not to spray? With all the negative space between the chair legs and back... Brushing would reduce the waist (in paint) quite a bit. Spraying reduces the time (painting), the labor involved, and producing consistent coverage is less stressful. Thanks for sharing these experiences on KZbin!

I adore Real Milk Paint products and have been using their paint and tung oil for years. My process is the same as the one you describe and having done six Windsor chairs, two three-person farmhouse benches and a huge farmhouse sink cabinet repurposed as a buffet (all in that traditional black over red), I can attest that it is time-consuming! The results, however, are oh-so-satisfying.

Love your videos, but I want to point out you need a respirator on when spraying milk paint. It is NOT safe. The manufacturer you used lists calcium hydroxide (lime) as an ingredient in their milk paint. Inhaling lime dust may lead to irritation of breathing passages, coughing and sneezing. Also depending on calcium hydroxide levels and length of exposure you can get calcium hydroxide poisoning which can lead to death. Please wear a respirator when spraying milk paint products.

@@AnneofAllTrades Yeah, I wasn't trying to nitpick, but just point out the hazard.
