PLEASE HELP ME What town did you get your straw in? I'm over here in Southern New Mexico and NO ONE SELLS STRAW IN BALES HERE. Tractor supply sells tiny bales like 12 inches by 16..And they want way too much. like $20 for those tiny bales. I asked a couple weeks ago and I guess it was over looked. I really need some straw. Never seen a place that doesn't have straw until here. PLEASE TELL ME WHERE YOU BUY YOUR STRAW.

I had to stop the video and say...I know it sucks to have that damage, but you have to , you must be a bit kinder to yourselves. You wouldnt like it if some troll came on here and say, something like suck it up, you did this, bla bla bla BUT HERE YOU BOTH are saying it was your fault, you could of , would of...well no. You did a great job, you had no way of foreseeing a massive storm, crap happens when we plan and God laughs! hindsight is always great but its not accurate! Wouldnt you rather have this happen now , than when you think your done ? or what if during a storm you had been in there when it happened ? injuring or worst one of you ? I think it was a God send to have this happen. I realize , its a lot more work now, the cleaning up you did, the stuff to do it again, the apprehension that if you miss something it could happen again and worst. But you have accomplished so much and have made incredible engineering feats with that home and you will accomplish this too. But stop bashing yourselves ... perhaps in your sphere of friends, family , on you tube videos, you will find the ultimate , best, most indestructible solution and some helping hands! Some Universities have engineering and architectural students that trouble shoot this kind of thing, they get credit and they like to help.

If the person isnt over organizing. A mausoleum is very hard to live in. Over organizing makes others feel like they are in a space where they are not wanted. Several of my friends were afraid to breathe in the house. I felt bad for them. Mom on them every second about the house. But on a happy medium everything with a place and everything in their place is nice :)

I agree. In my kitchen I’ll get busy making a lot of clutter. Then before I move on I clear it out, and clean it up. It lifts the spirits and gives a feeling of accomplishment. Their dome home is turning out beautiful. Now we can really see it in its style and decoration. 😊

@@cynthiacrawford6147 I totally agree. I have been in showcase homes and didn't feel comfortable at all. Also sterile homes where the spaces are too clear and precise don't feel usable either. You don't want to mess anything up.

Excited to see what you do with the inside of the dome, its looking great so far! You guys have come a really long way, mostly without help. I think if you planned a couple work parties, you'd have a small army of volunteers there in no time, and could knock out a couple of big tasks quickly and get your mojo jump started again (cobbing the inside, maybe?). Its admirable and impressive how much you've done by yourselves, but it does take a lot more time. I have to imagine it starts to feel endless at times. Sending you virtual hugs and motivation energy.

You guys have come a long way! I know the mental battle with a huge project that. I built my own house from the ground up with a little help from friends occasionally. The mental aspect is far more difficult than the physical and often overlooked by people. Good for you on recognizing what’s needed to rejuvenate your mental health! Please think about this little insight I’ve gotten from 25 years in construction. 1 person working alone gets work done at “x rate”, 2 people working together on a task will get work done at 2.5 times the rate of a single person. It is much more efficient to work together on a task than the “divide and conquer” approach. Keep up the good work guys! Now get that dome exterior finished!! 😊
