That’s actually pretty close to a realistic leasing rate. I’ve had to lease new equipment when mine has broken down in the past and a combine with a header can easily run you $10-$20,000 a day depending on size if you can even find one. Most of the time when you have to pay rent a farmer to bring theirs and harvest it for you which can be much more expensive

Agreed, but I don't think autoload trailers is something Daggerwin would normally use. Besides, the autoload trailers currently available have some bugs that need to get worked out.

Y-value may have different range based on location (i.e. map). I had a problem on Erlengrat and Y value is all over the place - mountain region. So what worked for me was to increase Y value by one. ie. if your y-value was 64.599999 just add 1 to 65.599999. If it works perfect, if not try again by adding 1 again.

About glitched pallets: I wedged a forklift underneath and tilted the back of it up and left it for a few days and one morning, it was out. You had something similar with the fork you had underneath in one if the first videos. It will sort itself out that way.

Love the series!! 2 ideas: if you get a barn you save all the eggs you make in a year grape juice etc you sell when the price is at its highest, and the second one with 4 collectables you can buy the field next to the corn field near the farm or exactly across the entrance of the farm it will be amazing!!

I've had a few pallets glitch into the ground and can confirm the autoloading mod trailers can load even the glitched ones. Also you can press SHIFT + P to open the building/landscaping mode quicker, hope this helps.

It's quite a common practice to buy calves, bring them to maturity, and then sell them on. Usually for beef, since dairy farmers often prefer to breed their own heifers and sell on the bullocks. Buying them young and selling them on once they have good weight is something to do over winter, and saves a lot of the work of breeding and also requires less space than a full on dairy operation. Since you have very limited space it might be best just to raise raise calves.

Where is it his common practice? I know a lot of calf cow producers and the only reason anyone sells calves is if they have too many. And those ones go to feed lots immediately for veal. Not trying to be rude, just curious.

@@shuleb635 I live in Yorkshire. One of my very good friends does this on his hill farm. There are others around here that do it. Usually small farms that have been going a long time, but haven't been able to expand into other areas. The hill where my friend lives used to support four small dairies. Now there are none. Between the big farms squeezing prices, and BSE they have had to change how they operate.

You can get the stuck pallets out by editing vehicles.xml, and changing the second location value to 100.0 (65.0 is the ground level around the farm), this puts it in the air put they will drop straight down, and be available to get. or use an autoload trailer, they pick up the pallets.

Hey Daggerwin, if you turn on field info you can get lots of good information not only about your fields but also about your production buildings. Like the amount in storage and also the amount of water left

Use an autoloading trailer to pick up the stuck pallets, even if you just use the trailer for getting out stuck things it would be a great help for you.

Try using the strautman autoload trailer. I've seen someone use it to get stuck pallets out of the ground .

You dont need the bale shredder trailer if you have the mixer trailer. You can use the mixer trailer for straw only if you have nothing else in it.

Corn silage is usually harvested at peak Biomass. Always below 70% moisture content. Desirable % moisture content changes with storage type. For your bunker silo it’s probably 65-70% moisture content. In a upright silo, that limits oxygen you would aim for 50-60%.

I've had luck removing stuck pallets by picking them up and throwing them repeatedly until they break loose. And I think you should call the landini "Concord"

You can use the super strength to drag a front weight or bale fork etc (small item) into the stuck crates and after about 30s of doing so from different angles and speeds it will push it around and then suddenly pop up out of the ground. :D No mods/world editing required

Edit the xml. It is something you can do on PC. You could just add to the Y component so the item exists up a bit, or you could just delete them and add a bit to the two places in the savegame to replace the "lost" egg and honey pallets.

You can get the pallets that are stuck out of the ground. Get a front loader or something with a pallet fork. Get it in between en just go ham on the mouse/stick. That your using I did it as well it worked

Use ur jcb, dig the forks down under and "connect" to the pallet. Then just tilt back and lift a little bit upwards and the "frozen" pallets should be free again! Grettings from sweden!🇸🇪

You can go into the text file and change the position of the egg pallets so they drop from the air rather then go under the ground

Patch 1.2.0.0 brings MANY MANY improvements. Produce pallets are like 2-3x in size, however you can't hand load them, but you are a forklift master :) also, LEASING costs now show the details. There is an initial cost, and hourly (real time) cost, and a monthly cost. So, leasing something for 1 hour is the least effective and most expensive type of lease. Countless other improvements. The only major negatives are that the Manitobu forklift is borked, but the electric forklift is fine. As well for you, eggs and produce have dropped in price, but wool got a ~50% increase. Prices are MUCH MUCH more stable and normal. The chart is accurate, however it still doesn't show numbers which is stupid. However, just look at the economy.xml file, and you will see the numbers for the last 12 month prices for all products...which is used to calculate future prices. The prices in that file are for hard economy, so for easy, they are 4x.

Daggerwin use super strength. Pick up the telehandler and Ram the stuck pallet until it comes out of the ground. Works for me. Also before you update the game sell all your pallets otherwise they’ll be half spawned. But it will be fixed after you sell the glitched ones.

I was able to get all of mine unstuck with just the forklift but you can use anything with pallet forks if it let's you spread the forks. Widen your forks as far apart as they will go then go to the side of the pallet (longways) and close your forks. Your forks will phase into the pallet and then you just wiggle up and down until the pallet pops out!

@daggerwin the landscape tool will not get the pallets unstuck. You will need to either get an autostacker mod or xhange the y value in the vehicle.xml. Not sure if it has changed with the new patch, but it would be worth it to check it out. Keep up the great work, love your series.

Grace would be a good name for the grape tractor. Also you can install free placement and painting on the mod hub. Realistically farmers terraform their own land for free anyway

To get stuck pallets out put forks on tractor, put in position with forks low as possible, get a run up and hit at full speed, works for me.

If you role down the sides of the trailer you have attached to the truck, you can get two pallets accross. It fits much better.

For the stuck pallets just ram them with the pallet forks a low as possible… wend it starts to move bring your forks up and they should pop out of the ground… always worked for me…

you don't need straw for TMR, you only need hay and silage. You can put straw to tmr but its not necessary. Same with minerals

When doing contracts it actually doesn't cost anything to borrow the equipment, it just reduces the payout by a certain amount

You don't need to feed the cows TMR until they are ready to produce milk. No point wasting money.

Also be mindful that in 10 months time when they do start producing Milk, you cannot give them TMR if the trough is full of Hay / Grass, the amount the pen can take is a Total of all 3 types of feed, so if it is full of Hay you have to wait for them to eat it first before giving them TMR ( if you give them a small amount of TMR they will eat that first before reducing the amount of Hay and you will have to feed them more often to keep them on TMR )

I think the high prices for leasing NEW equipment is set the way it is to discourage players from avoiding buying anything and just leasing new equipment for everything. Which, does make sense. Taken out a loan to pay for high end items is not as costly as you might think. I took out a $250,000 loan for several months and only paid a couple thousand in interest for it. I think its cheaper to borrow, then buy new, and do a BIG harvest with new machines and then pay it off after. It worked well for me. I doubt I would bother playing this game if it was just a cakewalk. Thnk of it this way, when you buy a new car for $26K and drive it off the lot, it immediately loses its value by 5k and that's just for a car. Same would apply if you drove a brand new 400K tractor off the lot only to turn around and return it used. The dealer loses 30K from its price and has to sell it used. It all makes sense.

You can easy delete those pallets in the career savegame !!!! I‘ve been trying to tell this to him for a few vids now. Please like this comment so he sees it! They are in your savegame and then in your vehicles! Just make a backup copy of that folder and delete the whole „egg-file“ and „honey-file“ Of course you must sell all other eggs and honey before, so you don’t accidentally delete the wrong ones!

I found it impossible to remove the stuck pallets with the forklift. You get a better angle with tractor front loader. A telehandler might work too. I had so so many at one point that I just deleted them from the XML file.

you can keep pushing the pallets that are stuck to get them unstuck. i just have a small slope where the pallets pop back out
