Yep. That's the Morocco I love. Much better than the cities. Moroccan drivers? They sometimes are a bit "interesting". However, they have also proved helpful and resourceful to miss me when I seriously misjudged an overtake of a lorry when I was on my motorbike. Thanks to the quick thinking of the lorry driver and the car driver coming the other way, they gave me sufficient room to squeeze past. Thanks to them both, I am here to tell the tale. I ask them to leave the sugar out when I have the their tea. I prefer it when it is not sickly sweet. Nice Vlog guys!

Wow, now that's a story! What motorbike do you ride? I've (Ric) had a few bikes in the past. Watching the adventure bikes riding around out here makes me want another one (don't tell Keira 🤣)! We'll definitely tell the tea again. Maybe next time without the sugar 👍

This is what I dislike about European tourists. They come with the idea that Morocco is in Africa, so there won't be any roads or infrastructure in general. If you pay a little attention, you will see a sign (minute 01:01) indicating work on the road, because the sign indicates a road deviation to the right. In Morocco, any yellow vertical or horizontal road sign indicates ongoing work. I know that Africa will not develop, only Europe will develop, and finally in Morocco there is no kidnapping, only that nothing will happen to you or you will be robbed in your place. Morocco is many times safer than your advanced continent(most Moroccan trucks in Europe have their fuel stolen from an official parking station …)

I don't know if we have another self build in us! Not this year anyway. A bus would be an interesting one 🤔
@Sponge131010 ай бұрын
@@Touringwiththekids Haha yeah I think it’s better to just enjoy the truck for the time being and maybe in the future convert a bus 😉 I guess busses are also slightly bigger/longer as well and thus more of a pain to park, so for extensive travel probably not the most ideal choice, but if you’d ever decide to maybe travel a bit less it would be a more suitable alternative. From some of the builds I’ve seen on KZbin, a bus would probably provide a bit more space, so you could actually have your own bedroom and more privacy instead of having to convert the living room into a bedroom every night. Andy over on the Buslife NZ channel has an awesome bus conversion build (2 actually) that are worth checking out, he build the 2nd bus probably 99% on his own, very impressive in my opinion 😄
@Touringwiththekids10 ай бұрын
Yeah, we have to agree. The different layout configurations you could do with the additional space of a bus would make them perfect. We've seen several that look incredible. At the moment we love the lorry and it seems to have the best of both worlds, large enough to have a good amount of living space, without being too big, making it difficult to park 👍
@alanhat525210 ай бұрын
Busses & coaches are the same length & width as a lorry with a 20- to 25-foot box but they curve in to a narrower roof & they have steel framing with a fragile inside skin which makes them a _PAIN_ to fit out & with a smaller effective living space & nowhere to put high-level cupboards (apart from American school busses which have straight walls but still a deeply curved roof) & they have an amazingly small payload (the one I had was 2 tonnes though I liberated about half a tonne throwing the seats out). Plus they tend to leak & the engine & sometimes the gearbox & axles are often cramped into a tiny space so you can't get to them properly. And don't get me started on bus electrics! I certainly never want another one unless I can rip the body off & put a lorry body on & also uprate the suspension.
