Bill Browder was one of the biggest foreign investors in Russia until 2005 when he was kicked out of the country. He is now known for being one of Vladimir Putin’s fiercest critics. (Subscribe: bit.ly/C4_News_Subscribe)
He joins Krishnan to talk about his new book called Freezing Order - in which he details his mission to pursue justice for his lawyer and friend Sergei Magnitsky who died in a Russian jail.

I’ve seen a slew of interviews with Bill Browder recently, and this is by far the most searching and informing. And it yet again, reinforces that apathy and inaction can have devastating consequences. My fear is the longer this war and state of affairs goes on, we’ll settle back to business as usual. I am a politically ignorant American that just wants the war to stop. Period. Be over. Done. The more I research the more I understand the intricacies of stopping this war. Putin is still getting a billion dollars a day from Europe for energy. They need energy, where else are they going to get it? Well, Middle East? A different can of worms. I am sick about what is happening in Ukraine but I am VERY concerned that this will, as you stated, become business as usual. So now I am wondering: who is making money off of this war? I hate to say I think that is the root. I hope I'm wrong. So difficult for me to believe we don't have covert dudes willing and capable of taking Putin out...why hasn't that happened yet? Follow the money.

Browder is an accomplished liar and a crook. He defrauded the Russian people. He was exposed and now spreading his highly colorful version of the truth. View "The Magnitsky Act Behind the Scenes" it may still be available on bitchute (Why did Browder go to such lengths to bury this documentary?) Then read 'The Killing of William Browder" a free pdf is available on the net. Then review The Komisarscoop, a publication by Lucy Komisar, a 40+ yr award winning financial investigative journalist who gives a paper trail of Browder's tax dodging shell companies. Why did Browder renounce his US citizenship and take UK citizenship? To avoid US taxes and avoid extradition to Russia. He is a crook who should get life behind bars another is Bernie Madoff who fooled apparently intelligent people to steal $Billions with his lies.

Under current circumstances, he appears to be correct, kind of a hindsight thing. But there's a good reason his prior impact was not quite as strong as he desired. Go look up Spiegel International - The case of Sergei Magnitsky - Questions cloud story behind US sanctions. Spiegel is a German investigative magazine which is... to put it mildly, not known for being Russia-friendly. As it stands, the Russian judicial system is inhumane garbage, and kills thousands of people just like Magnitsky without there being any possible political motivation among most of those; and everyone knows the state is built on bribes, where every business needs to kick back 30% of its revenue, and it goes all the way up the chain.

It’s so heart-breaking to see the plight of the Ukraine's brave soldiers taking their last stand in Mariupol. These heroes are determined to fight till to their last drop of blood. Like the heroic people of Ukraine, the people of Burma are also taking their last stand to stamp out the military dictators from the land, once and for all. The National Unity Government (NUG) which is formed in the liberated areas by the elected members of the parliament by the people in 2020 general election, has declared to begin an “offensive war” from now on against the military regime, from the previous defensive positions. Loads of junta forces’ wives and children are now fleeing the city of Yangon, to the military stronghold city of Naypidaw in droves, in fear of attacks from the guerrilla forces. On 19 April 33 junta’s soldiers were killed and 42 wounded in a 15 days battle with the KNU. In other news, 5 police and 50 soldiers were killed by mines and attacks near Hteelin (ထီးလင်း) by the People’s Defence Forces - PDF (Democratic Voices of Burma DVB in Burmese 19 Apr 2022). For revenge, soldiers burned villages along the way. Students, who were protesting peacefully on the streets before, are now becoming PDFs and have trained systematically to fight back the military regime. At the beginning, they started with catapults and hunting rifles, but they now have some automatic weapons bought by donations from the people through black markets. They will not stop until they get the victory. They have trained well and are now gaining momentum (BBC in English 22 Apr 2022 “Myanmar - Young rebels fighting for democracy” & 01 Feb 2022 “The deadly battles that tipped Myanmar into civil war”). Fight on heroes of Ukraine till you defeat the Russian invaders! We will also fight on till we get our freedom and democracy! May the hero President Zelenskyy and the heroic people of Ukraine defeat the cruel Russian invaders!

Today I happened to hear when passing by the words of the father of two kids: an elder girl and the younger boy of about 5 years old. They just got out of the car. That's in the deep of Russia. So father tells the son: "Знаешь кто такие Новые Русские? Это бандиты 90х годов, захватившие власть. Они ходили в малиновых пиджаках". His words are very true. Documentary footage shows the nullified Russian President in the really crimson colour suit in the 90s of the 20th century. Nullification' of the previous terms in power was introduced so as to continue ungodly things to the people of Russia. And these days to terrify the world.

Wow! He is the epitome of "courage!" We all need to follow in his footsteps and squash fear with our heel and kneel to pray and invite the Spirit of courage to consume us in integrity and unity. The goal, freedom to live life in love, light, joy, unity, harmony, kindness, humbleness, patience, compassion and peace. Let us rise in courage and escape the ruthless dictation of the ego's sinister prison. Note: Despite Bill's challenges, he has an interesting and fascinating life. He is the perfect example of a true world leader and hero. Bravo! By the way Bill, in Spirit, your friend is alive alongside of you helping you through this courageous chapter of your life.

It is surprising me how moved i am listening to this person. I’m safe on my couch, the wars and criminals are not banging down my door. That i am aware and not acting is troubling me more and more. but what to do exaclty? Maybe i should not let that stop me. My grandfather was an academic and socialist who lived in Wash DC. So many contradictions there.

The whole way the media have joined up on this altruism towards the Ukraine and Russia scenario really makes me uncomfortable. It’s good we’re helping people. But I was watching the fundraiser with the celebrities on TV and it made me a little sick to be honest. They announced they’d raised 250,000,000 and later announced the death toll in the conflict (hello fog of war). I just thought how many people are dead in Yemen ? How many billions have BAE made? The way people are so indifferent to that and so galvanised against Russia just made me realise how devastatingly fickle we can be.

Citizen in Britain have raised an amazing amount of money for Ukrainian humanitarian aid through the Disasters Emergency Committee, an amalgamation of 15 leading British charities. Last I heard it was £300,000,000. Are you saying that it is wrong to do this simply because of the high death toll? I was happy to make a donation to the DEC, and also, like so many others, to give food, clothing, baby items, toiletries and bedding for refugees. So many British organisations were collecting these items to deliver to those poor victims of Putin's hatred. My taxes go towards the weapons that are being sent to the defenders of Ukraine. Good! The Ukrainians need all the help they can get. The Russians started this war. The atrocities committed are sickening.

@@silversurfermusicco5263 Russian forces destroyed Aleppo and parts of Eastern Ghouta in Syria the same way they did in Grozny, and the same way they are doing in Ukrainian cities. The killing of civilians is a part of Putin's strategy of terror. I wouldn't be surprised if they went so far as to use chemical weapons in Ukraine, as they did in Syria.

That'd be his journalistic future in the U.K risky. Many British politicians are 'oligarchs' in their own right. Corrupt, and dangerous. It is so difficult trust many English high level politicianS. History dictates the levels of their duplicity, corruption, cruelty, reneging, lying and murdering. It's so sad for me to say these things as a 63 year old Cornishman, one that has never voted for any U.K politician, because I am only too well aware of their respective histories. Let's hope they are rooted out in the future eh.
