At this point the only thing Raptors fans have to look forward to is free agency. While I actually like the concept of PG in Toronto, I don't think he does. Why tf would he leave LA, his hometown where his friends and family are, where he runs a podcast and is winning basketball games, the city he loves very much just to leave the country and play for Toronto, a team in transition where the only parts of the game where he'll be getting a larger role in are defense, off-ball movement and mentoring young players. "Hey, wanna move to Canada so you can play more of the least fun parts of basketball?" If it were the Raptors or nothing this offseason, he'd just retire and hang out around Hollywood.

first of all PG is not coming to teams like the Raptors at this point in his career. It makes more sense for him to go to a team like the sixers that’s right there in terms of championship push where he has less to do considering his age and the fact they’re not going look to him to be a first or 2nd option because they already have Embiid and Maxey. See this is exactly the desperate moves rebuilding teams like the raptors make and find themselves in a longer rebuild by gambling on a 33 year old PG that’s been on super teams and couldn’t win but now what to give him a bigger role at his age and expect him to win. If that’s not suspect enough we’re coming from basement of the NBA. This gives you a very short window to win now while investing big money in this move. This move can set the raptors back for even longer because moving him for good assets if it doesn’t work isn’t going to be easy at his age and the reputation he has now as a guy that can’t carry a team. This could very well be another one of many delusional pipe dreams this fan base has had over the years. Who do you think PG is ? 🤷‍♂️People seem to forget when we made a push for Kawhi we were a championship contender that were already making it to the Eastern conference finals with Demar and Lowry but just couldn’t get pass Lebron. Now you want to gamble with PG of all players carrying a worst Raptors team and expecting to compete ? 🤔🤷‍♂️ the man’s been on super teams and couldn’t win. You expect to give him a bigger role than he had since Indiana, on a worst team than his Indiana team and win while coming from the basement of the league ? That’s one hell of a pipe dream.

I didn't even think about it too much, but a max contract would be a horrible use of the space we have, as it can be used for depth. I think its just some clippers beat writer trying to dump off Paul George to the raptors for picks and young players. Same way some raptors content creators trying to push the narrative Scottie Barnes will be a cry baby and ask for a trade out of Toronto if masai doesnt trade all their assets for a win now player so the raptors can get to 1st round and get bounced. and continue to be MID because they have no assets left for a long time. I just wonder how true that is, we haven't had cap space in ages, the only way to get stars without cap space is to trade. So yes in some ways but in other, who are these stars turning us down so often that the most repeated Raps sentence of all time needs to be repeated again? Kawhi didn't stay? No one thought he would and he is just 1 star.. Giannis probably would come but he got his own things going on, same as Jokic, got his own thing going on, Luka maybe one day? I see you try to explain why superstars don’t come to toronto. But no matter what facts, data or explanation there is , it is a known fact around nba players, potentialplayers, agents ,and general managers that toronto is the absolute last place out of all the nba team that players want to play for. That is a fact. As per various sport magazines article. Now why is that ? Well Canada is a country run by tax and heavily taxing earned income more than any other sector . second, the market is too small( yes I know Canadian think they are important in the world , g8 economy etc but no Canada have 40 million people and about is a hockey country , so yes small bball country.).
