I really want to see this kid play for Popovich with Wemby as their switchable PF: together, they’ll make the modern Twin Towers! But I won’t be surprised if he becomes the next Lofton Jr. who is an Undrafted dominant scoring and rebounding machine but he’s now being buried in the G-League for the rest of his entire career if he doesn’t take his talents to Europe, China, or elsewhere.

@ben rogers at this point as week as , i am sure most raptors fans after seeing ogbaji cant shoot the 3 and why ainge gave up on him, probably want the 27th pick back because there is a 6'11, 7'4 wingspan offensively raw, but agile and mobile center who is great defensively and very athletic who is said to be comparable to trayce jackson at 27 in this draft named ulrich chomche. ulrich is also the youngest player in the draft.

kelly will teach this guy the art of passing, he has a good stroke from the line, should be able to develop a decent stop and pop from elbow, don't under estimate his potential

Edey couldn't stay on the court against Team USA in FIBA. The bigs in the NBA are stronger and faster than in college plus the court and key area are bigger in the NBA. He will be a situational player in the NBA. Raps need to draft the best players available with their picks. If the Raps keep their FRP and draft Edey in the top 6 smdh. If they can draft him with Indian's FRP, maybe, okay. If the Raps trade their SRP and move up into the end of the first round and draft him that's the best case scenario other than him falling to 31 or 32. There will be some good players in this draft, it most likely won't be the top prospects though. This is where a good front office player evaluation comes into play instead of going with the consensus. Terrence Shannon Jr...

The college game is different than the pros. In college, you can slow the game down and hide Edey on defense. But he can't guard in space and isn't quick enough to keep up. He isn't the modern day Big Country (Tubby) cause he isn't that fat. But realistically he can't keep up with the NBA games. As a second round pick sure.

Edey will be the Raptors wall against Joker and Embiid, even Bam and AD who are listed at 6"11 give us problems,Olynik a real Back up and Barnes at the five mashing down low against those calibur Bigs is a nightmare, a Trace Jackson-Davis and Jalen Johnson or Jaren Jackson Jr are purfect matchups down low for Barnes, the problem is they don't play every game. Those raptors fans who believe that Sarr is going to stop force of natue NBA Bigmen or Even Wemby or Chet if they build more strength, maybe in the future with couple lab experiments am sure but the Raptors are a rebulding team we are adding depth and the work continues,even in these losses am seeing slow methodical progress.we see what Adam Silva does with Jontay Porter gambling situation.

It's funny people saying he's slow, can't shoot threes etc but that's what we have with Jakob... Edey IS Jakob but fits raps timeline and has room for growth.. I'm a big fan of Jakob but come on Edey is a fraction of the cost and has a higher ceiling plus he can hit free throws! We could even have him as our back up 5 and let Kelly play the 4 (more fitting) for a season and if it plays out trade Jakob at the dealing or next off season. If he's avaliable with our first pick take him! Also, Trade Brown for another 1st (if that's even possible) on draftnight.

Edey would be a great fit and even if we draft him and keep Jakob he'd be a great back up to JP and would learn alot from him until it's time to move on from Jakob. Each person has an opion but you can't deny Edey will be a legit NBA big in the coming years.

Here's the problem with what you said... the Raptors are not going to be drafting him in the second round. I don't even think he will be available with their projected 17th pick. The Raptor fans that really want him will have to deal with the reality of having to use their 6th pick to get him. The latest mock draft has the Raptors using their projected 6th pick to take Matas Bezels from the G league and Edey going 12th. Personally I'd be happy if the Raptors took Edey with their 6th but I think the majority of Raptors are of the mindset is you shouldn't "waste" a first round pick on this guy. To put in context what he's doing, he just put up 40pts and 16reb to single handedly carry his team into the final 4 when the rest of his team was struggling the whole game (3-15 on 3s), not making shots, and there isn't another single NBA prospect on his team. And his best play was a game sealing block at the end of the game which is pretty amazing for a guy who "can't play defense". His stock has surged since the tournament began and it may go up even more if he can play well these next game(s).

Given the track record of G Leaguer Ignite players would you draft one in the top 10? They seem to be mid at best for a few years. Kuminga? Scoot Henderson? Jalen Green looks ok now but it took FVV and Brooks to unlock him. Senguin was the superior player from that draft and he's from the Euro league. I'm just not comfortable with G league Ignite prospects in the top 10. Good thing is with Raps you never know who they're going to pick. Raps don't leak.
