Najaf | A Piece Of Heaven On Earth , Alhumd I too visited the city and its has the best feeling ever , because when you enter the shrine of Imam Ali a.s you feel an amazing feeling that , the one who Sacrificed his whole life for Islam is near you , the undefeated warrior , the one who never lost s single debate or war , the one whom every tyrant feared , the one who's had most education after the prophet Muhammad ص , the one who didn't let anyone sleep hungry in his khilafat , he was the ruler of arab for 3 years but he kept on living a simple life...the one who throughout his life never left Prophet Muhammad ص , the one who kept praising his god whole night , the one who Always cared for orphsans , and the title of him (father of orphans) is enough to know how great the man was... Wadi al-Salam Cemetery is one of the most important Muslim cemeteries, which is located in the city of Najaf in Iraq. It is considered the largest cemetery in the world[1]. It contains, according to estimates, nearly six million graves, and it has been included in the World Heritage List[2]. The cemetery has gained wide fame due to the hadiths and narratives that It was narrated in its merits, which made the Shiites long for this cemetery to be their last resting place. Its proximity to the shrine of Imam Ali bin Abi Talib played a major role in granting it this great status, and visitors to the holy shrines used to pass through the Valley of Peace and recite Al-Fatihah for the dead there, and have mercy on them and honor the blessed places there. The cemetery contains the remains of many scientific, religious, political and social figures from the Shiite community. The cemetery contains two types of burials, where there are tombs that reach a height of 80 cm, and there are catacombs that are about 5 to 8 meters deep underground. Thanks for visiting
