Man I remember reading articles 20 years ago about how Nintendo will be bankrupt soon and fast forward two decades they're opening new theme parks while those news outlets are already closed. I really hope we get Zelda and Splatoon next.

I don't know how it is at Universal, but with Disney, they have rules about teenagers and adults dressing up as their characters while at their parks, unless it's during special events like their after-hours parties.

Probably that Vicarious Visions game was to release around the park's opening and they just decided to quickly remaster DKCR and just not leave people with nothing. I'm pretty sure that there is a new game in the works already because there's a lot of hype around DK now.

Considering those "carts" don't have the.. whatsitsname that prevents you from falling and or flying off, looks like it's pretty "mild" ride. Is this recommendable for those who isn't that much of "roller coaster" fan as well?

The wheels you can see at the base of the carts are fake. The real, functional, wheels are some way below, on the end of an arm. So, yes, I’m sure these have the usual ‘up stop’ and side wheels, just like most other coasters. Regardless, it’s promoted as a ‘family’ ride, so won’t be super intense.

Hmm, not sure if the gimmick of coaster ‘jumping’ off the track lived up to the hype. The coasters are moving too quickly. A shame it also appears that viewing angles of seeing coasters shoot from the barrel appear to be blocked? It would have also been nice to see more full moving animatronics on the ride itself. Still overall looks like a fun family coaster with pretty colors and great theming!

It looks like a wonderful time over there. I'm still curious about what the power band features are all about. The rollercoaster is probably a lot of fun too. Sadly I don't think I'll ever go there in Japan but if Nintendo and Universal ever decide to bring it to Hollywood, that would be cool.
