We Visited Old School CHOPPER HEAVEN - Nick's Custom Cycles

In this episode we drive on down to dirty the Jerz in search of a rigid frame for my shovelhead chopper build and find ourselves at the legendary Nicks Custom Cycles! Nick and J.D. had so many cool stories and things to show that we needed two parts for this video haha. Hope ya dig!!

Dude, I'm in my sixties. I've been riding on the street since 1970. I'm running a 1949 El pan I built myself. I guess I'm old and crusty too but I have no suspension and I'm still riding. One or two kicks she fires up. Tank shift foot clutch. You won't want to go back to a swingarm frame just hang it up in the garage. There ain't no ride like a suicide!

I live right across the Commodore Barry Bridge from Nick's. He is definitely a legend. Back in the early eighties, I had a 1977 Lowrider, that I bought from a Philly policeman. It was a "shovelhead". Spent many weekends, going to Nick's for parts, while customizing that bike. Back then, he was working out of the infamous, "Chicken Coup".

Look up Bills Bike Barn in Bloomsburg PA he and nick are friends since the early sixties his Bike museum will blow your mind and you can camp at Knowles amusement park back in the woods it's like a time warp.

A biker… in fuckin sneakers , damn how far we done fell ! I had a 50 flh panhead that I built , after I bought in the later 70’s , but I did it all old school , and I have been riding since 1970 , I’m 69 years old , and was in a M.C. Since 77 - 79 , but we had chapters ,in New Jersey , Maryland , Delaware , and in the late 80’s Pennsylvania, had many good tight brothers , was a member until , 10-17-04 , I lost my ability to ride , walk in a straight line , and I was fucked up after that , this older woman who didn’t even hear my 74 dresser , coming at her in my lane , and she just turned into me from just a car length away from me , I didn’t have time to say shit , and BOOM , It was over crushed my left leg into 11 pieces ,crushed my left foot , and now it’s bothering me like a bad tooth , I can’t walk right , have went down hill ever since that date , the club has since , just slipped into time , as nobody wants to do shit to be in a club , not even show up for a meeting , ahhh , that’s the nature of todays riders , yeah full face helmet ,but wearin tennis shoes , and a button down shit with short sleeves , and shorts to , boot , I should have died in that wreak , I would o had a giant biker funeral !
