Hearing daddy just brought back a flood of memories. We look forward now to the boys starting their own families and becoming grandparents. I know that you know this but the ups and downs are worth it. It is amazing to hear the boys share the things that they remember and what they were feeling at that time. They will bring up a memory we totally forgot about. We were asked if we would do a video of our family for the Washington DC Human Rights Campaign dinner back when Obama became President. It is funny to look back at the video and how much has changed.

Love all you guys. I recall getting my first set of foster kids almost 26 years ago. Since than I've watched 11 kids turn into great kids and wish I would have adopted all of them but some of them got stuck in the system or didn't want to be adopted. So I was blessed with adopting 3 of them and all 11 still come home every year for the holidays and they have blessed me with 6 grandkids. It takes time and I'm sure those 3 angels will soon be your kids. So stay strong and remember the love you give them will always come back to you guys.

As for mom's cooking Thomas, the recipe's secret are made with LOVE and if you follow that in your cooking you will never go wrong in anything you do. So just keep trying. As for the kiddo's, All the best wishes and good thoughts to you through this. It is amazing to see how well they are thriving and doing so well. Little sis first haircut and getting that spa like treatment. PJ you are a master with kids. Yes it probably hurt to punish older brother for doing something that he needed to be disciplined for, but you all need to have consequences and learning curves and he will remember hopefully next time to not do it again but hopefully you both have learned to password protect things. As for all of the kiddo's, they work together to support each other and that is amazing to see when little sis spoke they encouraged her. Learning great values. So glad you got to enjoy your low-key five year anniversary. Congrats!! Also, I was wondering how well you held up when the hurricane passed through the area but I'm glad everything is fine there. We especially got pounded hard here in metro ATL with so many trees down. Our power was only out 6 to 7 hours which was surprising compared to how many had theirs out and for longer. Was still a tropical storm in north Georgia!!

My son and daughter-in-law are in the same position as you. The state of Maine is similar as Tennessee. They adopted their oldest son after he was two, but had him for 18 months.the younger boy has been with them for over 1 year with very little movement on the part of the bio family. Both the case worker and Guardian Ad Litem will be pushing for terminating parental rights, but who knows. It’s been up and down for them and us as well. We just pray that whatever is best for the little guy is what eventually will happen. I will keep you both and the kids in my prayers.

Good Luck on your journey through Foster care. Even though it may be stressful, it is worth it in the end. I fought to get my then second cousin, out of foster care. When she was born, she went right into foster care. When her bio parents did not cooperate, I asked to adopt her. From the beginning of the process (Paperwork, classes, and interviews) until I brought her home was 9 months and 2 days. She was 14 months old. It was another 5 months before we were legally a family. She is now 14 years old, almost 15; and it was the best thing that I ever did. It was worth all the tears. Another thing, would you share any information about the projector screen? It is exactly what I have been searching for. I want something that I can hang up in the living room during the winter and outside and on the deck in the summer. This looks perfect. Thank you. We just love your family.

Have you guys tried meal prep services like Hello Fresh? I started our subscription to find new meal ideas because we kept making the same things over and over again. We have been using Hello Fresh for about 2 months, and we really like it. It gives us new ideas for meals, and the ingredients are all provided. I take the menu cards that they send along and have put them into a binder as our own cookbook. I know there are other options like Blue Apron, so maybe try one service out to answer that ever present question of what to make tonight for dinner. :-)

We have been following your channel for some time. Even thou we are a lot older than you guys...in our 80's, my husband will be 83 November 11th...he is expecting lots of presents :-)! I’m sorry to know that foster care has been such a roller coaster for you, but I’m impressed the way you both deal with it with such equanimity. And I identify so much with your struggles to keep an office straight - mine is a continual mess, especially the main desk, and I keep threatening to straighten it up and failing to do so with regularity. I’m also hoping that come Tuesday things will go the way they appear to be headed and that common sense and humanity will prevail. The way 2020 has been, we need a good outcome, even if it takes several days to work itself out.
