Slam Dunk may be old but the influence it has on Japan as a country is beyond compare to any other sports manga. It literally popularized not only sports manga as a genre but also made basketball one of the most popular sports in Japan as well. I definitely recommend watching it. The mangaka is Takehiko Inoue who also wrote Vagabond and is one of the best manga artist out there

gorgeous artstyle and direction indeed, animation was static though, atleast cour 2, cour 1 had great animation moments like yamamoto vs ywach or ichigo's madness next episode, cour 2 had kenpachi vs gremmy (mostly the last 40 seconds) and some parts of the squad zero vs the schutztaffel and thats about it tbh that's just animation though, the artstyle and direction as i said was a masterclass, they focused mostly on aesthetics and it paid off, Rukia vs As Nodt a prime example of that

to be fair bleach is in the middle of an arc so its building up again, which is less hype than others that are starting or have their completing arcs. Or big reveals like one piece etc. I think alot of them were unfairly matched. Demon slayer is in a cool down arc for examle and will win more next season. AOT was the final part and vinland is an entire mature section that appeals to adults. Chainsawman was too long ago and isnt at its biggest parts.

4:50 you can watch the anime called "Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill" it's different type of theme of art and animation from mappa. Since MAPPA usually do good in some kind of dark or thriller type of theme/animation and their notable works are duroro, jjk, chainsaw man, AOT. For me they don't usually excel in other type of theme/art/animation aside from their notable works.
