What I like about the X-Men movies is how they were able to avoid the superhero label They weren't superhero movies. They were sci-fi movies featuring super powered individuals. You don't get to see that anymore

I think the thing most people don't like with these movies is how much they mess with the timeline and how hard they are to keep everything straight after watching them all. But I absolutely love the first few!

I agree when first class came along it went downhill and stayed that way. It was interesting and somewhat entertaining but it just didn't work and the time jump of days of futures past when it was first class with regular was stupid as all hell and hella confusing

All of them are enjoyable. In MCU they messed with the timeline a bunch from Liv Tylers Incredible Hulk, Homecoming getting the Avengers date wrong, the blip DOFP in Endgame or the blip or Agents Of Shield/Inhumans etc. that doesn't make the MCU movies not good.

@@newchadontheblock First Class was a reboot. How was it confusing. And Endgame copied Days Of Future Past which was actually based on the comic book and that is what reset the timeline from 1973 forward. How are you not confused with all the MCU timelines and how Steve Rogers is a old man now, that makes no sense but you just go with it bc you are MCU bias and thats why you never watched the X-Men movies. But now X-Men are coming to the MCU, so we all win!

This Mystique was Rebecca Romijn (formerly Stamos - supermodel ex wife of John Stamos), the superior Mystique. Jennifer Lawerence came later, playing her younger self.

Magneto is my favorite villain because of his motivations. He is so good because you can actually understand what he went through and why he is doing what he is doing to the point that people can start to agree with him. But because of his methods they can’t fully support him. He was a holocaust survivor and knows what it was like to be hunted and isolated because of being different from a particular group. The movies do him great as well as professor X. You should check out some of the comics if you ever get a chance to learn more about him. Also I personally think the X-men have always been cooler and stronger than the avengers. The MCU formula has gotten stale and the X-men movies were different and some did better than others. Hope you guys watch first class and days of future past

Storm & Jean were the only omega level mutants. Storm is a literal Goddess & Jean is a highly powered telepathic, especially when she’s being controlled by the Phoenix. Storm in the comics is a lot more powerful & resourceful than Thor.

The later movies might not be the best but the main hero vs villain between Charles and Magneto are the best things about these movies, the fact they’re friends and they have a super high amount of respect for each other is so good I wish more movies had it, plus young Magneto played by Michael Fassbender is such a good character and seeing how he went from good guy to evil is so good you can really understand why he is the way that he is, again the later movies aren’t the best but at very least they’re still enjoyable and fun to watch, love your reactions keep it up brother

The reason they didn’t add the X-men in avengers is because of how fast it would have ended. “Oh $h!t! Thanos is here! Yo wheels go ahead and freeze everyone so we can destroy him in 10 seconds” - The battle was won that day with zero casualties

Wolverine becomes like a father figure to Rogue, although, in the cartoon and comics, it's not Rogue, it's Jubilee. Rogue was done wrong in these movies as she's supposed to be way more powerful. Her powers in the comics and cartoons, she gets from captain marvel and they stick so she's very very powerful. The "hate" for the movies is mostly X-Men 3. The big guy that's all furry, that's more like sabertooths real look unlike the origins wolverine movie. The new wolverine movie now that he's part of the mcu since Disney now owns Fox, they're pushing to make it rated r since Disney will allow Deadpool 3 to stay rated r. Hugh Jackman isn't returning as wolverine though, but he said he would if he was in a Deadpool movie or avengers movie. Wolverine has been in EVERY team throughout marvel history. Patrick Stewart and Hugh said if one or the other was in Dr Strange the other would cameo and Stewart might be in Dr Strange. So Hugh might cameo. Marvel said if they appear in Dr Strange, they won't mess with their deaths in Logan and they'd be from different universes. You guys should watch the super power beat down episodes with wolverine. He's in 3. One he fights predator. Another he fights Batman. The last he fights wonder woman. And the costumes they create for every character is amazing work. 😁

Loved this movie as a kid, still do. What makes it so intriguing for me is you can see the points of view of Professor X and Magneto and know they're both right. Hard to argue with a "villian" when they are complete just in how they think. #TeamStorm forever! :)

Damn... I remember the hype around this movie leading up to the release, especially for my Gen who grew up with the Saturday morning cartoon. Back in elementary school before Pokemon was a thing, every kid on my block had binders of X-Men trading cards we'd all trade during lunch. This was also the first movie I saw for a midnight showing, good times.

Mike, to whoever has told you negative things from x-men have no idea what they are talking about. I am a comic nerd and x-men is my favorite. And Bryan Summer, the writer and director of the 1 and 2 and another one in the franchise was, or is an x-men fan and they did better justice to the comics than Hollywood has done with the Avengers. I'm 33 and I'm so happy that this movies are all my childhood. This one, the Tobby Maguire's Spider-Man, I mean, you got to understand, this are the pioneers to the marvel universe you kids have now!!! I can't seem to find if you saw the 2nd and 3rd one, and if you haven't, please, watch them. After the 3rd one they turn garbage cuz Hollywood wanted to make money without caring for the stories or even the characters. So count then as a trilogy! Love, Yeshua

I’m REALLY hoping that now that this first string of Marvel movies are “done” that they start to dive in to X- men. They already did on Wanda Vision, but I think they could absolutely KILL IT making just X- men movies with the same people that created the other movies. I’ve always been more in to DC even though their movies are not done as well as Marvel movies. But I’ve always been in love with the X-men. I’m excited to see what Marvel decides to do with them.

X2 is the best film in the bloated X-Men franchise (Logan is more standalone & doesn't feature the full group). DOFP would've been even better if Halle Berry hadn't gotten pregnant. They had to reduce her role quite a bit and pivot to less Future more Past. Rebecca Romijn as Mystique all day. If they want the franchise to be good again, they need to bring back the original cast instead of these newbies who pale in comparison.

The original X-MEN films are cult classics, especilly the 2nd and 1st one. 3rd film ties the story up nicely, but isn't as good as the first two but still worth watching. Then there's all the other reboots and remakes by Fox, some of them are great like X-men first class and X-men days of future past.The wolverine ones are prettty bad except for Logan,.
