just so you guys know, the first 45 eps are the prologue of the anime. its a great story, you just have to witness the storytelling as you go and itll give you the answers to any questions you have about the show if you stay committed. it is a continuous story and everything is connected. There are a lot of foreshadowing and call backs and lore reveals. everything that happens previously is still relevant to the story and progresses it

5:35 - StrawhatV deliberately left out the context for that 100 ships lost each year bit. That's not in the entire world, or in the grand line. That's the introduction to this world's equivalent of the bermuda triangle. A small patch of the world's ocean is responsible for 100 ships and *thousands* of people just vanishing from existence. I like sharing that because as good as this video is at showing the scope of the world, that's one detail that makes it seem smaller than it actually is.

So far Oda who created the show has told everyone that he's going to make one of the the biggest wars in anime history at the end of the show and some of these battles are like hundreds of episodes which is crazy. So you guys are getting into a really good show and you will will see everything affect everyone in the world. So you will be revisiting some places. One little thing can affect many people's lives

2:40 So, in terms of sections of the Grandline. If you’re from one of the four Blues (Oceans) the grand line is known as the Graveyard or Pirates Graveyard. If you’re in the Grandline, the first half is called Paradise and as stated in the video, the second half is called the New World.

You did hit the 3k like target on the op reaction video BTW. An info for you. There is going to be a One Piece anime Remake to bring one piece to newer audience with latest animation and pacing. 'The One Piece' by Wit Studio. I think it should start airing this year. To me the pacing issue is not a problem in these earlier episodes, and the animation even the old suits One Piece very much. The show being a bit more expressive and goofy with character designed has aged better compared to other shows. Anyways, hope you guys get to enjoy the show as much as we do. :)

Alternatively, you guys can watch One Pace, which is a One Piece fan effort to make the pacing of One Piece better and essentially cuts the run time by half.

Yeah, back in 2021 when I was in high school I caught up in about 2 months. There was a point where I was watching 40 episodes a day, skipping recaps and openings. Heck during an arc called Dressrossa I even watched the episodes on 1.75 speed. Admittedly I probably could have caught up faster but the anime was at episode 950-ish at the time and I got burnt out right at the start of Wano, so about 900, and took a few weeks of break. Don’t regret it though b/c the storytelling and worldbuilding is fantastic. Plus I’m a s sailor irl and pirate stuff or anything to do with large bodies of water always gets me excited.

Every Island on One Piece is set in different time periods, same islands are primitive, some are futuristic and it totally makes sense because of how difficult it is from going one place to another in one piece world. About spoilers, this video did spoiled a lot of things but without context it's hard to catch the spoilers.

I know it has but, for someone to watch only one time the video and had to go hundres of episodes, they wont remenber. They said in the openings that they would forget the things they saw after them watched, even this video has some spoilers if you think about, but for them they only seeing things, but i know that video had more context. Now its up to them to decide Tho ;)

The pirates of the Caribbean copyright infringemented it first. It wasn’t an original story done by Disney. The story of the flying dutchman has been around for centuries. The story has been around since the 17th century
@tatsudragneel47617 ай бұрын
The size of the world is unknown. The number people throw out to say its like 10x the size of earth or whatever is based on people doing pixel diameter on an island map, and basing the size of something off of pixel diameters is always notoriously bad and unreliable. So while it's certainly a big planet, take anyone claiming an exact size with a grain of salt.

Great reaction but just a few misinformation that I wanted to clear up: - 4:29 The one piece world is NOT powered by Cola. There's just one cyborg in the show named 'Franky' and he built himself to be powered by Cola bc he loves it. Everything else is powered like ancient times. The only use of electricity that we've seen are very rare which has to do with the lore and history of the story which will take a while to explain and spoil a lot. - 6:36 The flying dutchmen isn't from the pirates of the Caribbean. It's just a famous pirate legend that's known around the world. And the one in one piece also says "FLYING DUTCHMEN". That's not a "Y", it's actually an "N" but the sword on the skull in the front side of the ship made it seem like a "Y" so I get why you thought that.

6:37 To my knowledge there is no copyright on the Flying Dutchman as it is an old sea-faring tale. The Flying Dutchman is a ghost ship cursed to sail the seas for eternity. Supposedly if you saw this ship it was on omen of death or disaster.

The Grand Line is the One Piece World's equator....but due to the fact that it's the age of sail, it's largely isolated because the Tropics are areas with no wind. There's only one real access point. Entering is....treacherous...surviving...is worse.

You have watched the show, so you see all these little details and reveals but when you’re watching them for the first time (without context) you don’t know. You just don’t, it’s like saying to someone who’s never watched Game of Thrones to watch the openings and say “You spoiled yourself on the whole show! You know all the houses now!” No… when you’re watching something for the first time without context it doesn’t make sense and you forget about it and pay it no mind. It’s comments like this that bring light on things like this that we read and then that’s what spoils things for us. We’re fine and we’re both going to enjoy the show in our own way 😁

Please do not watch one piece or any one piece related content anymore. Ive already seen your op opening reaction and tier list….. it was abysmal 🤮🤮🤮
@Joejoanime8 ай бұрын
You can’t expect people who don’t know the context of an anime to be able to accurately rate openings. They were reacting to scenes that hold no meaning to them. I really don’t understand why there’s so much hate. If you were reacting to intros of a show you’ve never watched, you would also have some bad takes. It’s not that serious. I honestly think people expect them to lie and just put all of the openings in high ranks. I’d honestly rather see someone’s real pinion. Ppl are acting like they watched the show and then rated it badly. And why even watch this video if you didn’t like their other one
@ekitchensink7488 ай бұрын
Why would it matter how they ranked the openings? That has no hold on if they will enjoy it or not. If you love one piece why wouldn’t you want them to watch it and realise what they missed in their first reaction? The rankings kind of made sense because they understood some of the context for the first openings and as it went on they understood less and so ranked it lower. If I sat and watched an hour of intros for a show I’ve never watched I wouldn’t understand it either. You make one piece fans look toxic af

@@Joejoanime naw man, openings that stood out from a visual standpoint and musical stand point were completely disrespected dog. 3 openings that come to mind are opening 13 the day, opening 20 hope, and opening 25 the peak that they completely overlooked. I don’t rank openings off of how it connects to the story I rank them how they stand alone visually and in terms of song choice. A lot of these rankings of the openings they gave were underbaked, overlooked, and nonsensical responses. If they can’t even sit through the length of the openings what makes you think they will be able to stomach the show. Just from their interactions with those openings I could tell they are the type of people who don’t look at the finer details of content in the show and wouldn’t stick around for the long haul of the show. Someone I could compare to them was Nicholas light tv. Another reaction KZbinr who does anime content. Once I saw his reaction to the one piece openings I instantly knew he would be the type to enjoy the story because for 1 he treated each opening with care and carefully deduced what he thought of them. 2 he kept the same exact energy the entire time reacting. He didn’t get fatigued as they did. He had just as little context as them but did a much better job in my honest opinion. Anyways I’ve ranted long enough so I guess I’ll just watch the video that has this comment section and if I like what I see I’m might rethink my opinions.
@Joejoanime8 ай бұрын
@@blackhat2999 I think we have very different opinions on how important openings are. I love one piece but I really don’t care for openings (on any anime). I watch them once- if at all- and then always skip them. I find the music to be cringey and I would never watch or listen to them for enjoyment, maybe for nostalgia every now and then. I don’t think it’s fair to assume that someone’s reaction to an opening would be the same as their reaction to an episode. I know this from my own experience because I don’t watch or appreciate the openings myself and yet I love the world of one piece. It’s almost like saying one piece is only as good as the openings, and if they can’t react to the openings the way you expect, then they won’t react to the show how you want them to. Maybe you won’t like their reaction and you can just watch someone else’s. Your first comment was just unnecessary and an overreaction. If I asked a friend to react to openings I liked, and they didn’t notice all the details I wanted them too or appreciate it as much as I hoped. I wouldn’t get all mad and tell them to never watch it. They got the 3k likes they wanted so obviously some people do want to see their reaction
@blackhat29998 ай бұрын
@@JoejoanimeYur not understanding that what I’m saying is that the way they nonchalantly, and haphazardly put together that teir list is a Representation of the way they deduce anything. It seemed to me like they were deaf and blind at the same time because there is an objectively right way to that ranking from tone, consistency, range, and other things for music to line work, color use, filter use, and direction for art. I said they shouldn’t watch the show not because of the correlation between the openings and show but because of their overall demeanor.
