The Gumball writers are masters of the craft. They managed to create multiple story arcs based on dumb jokes they made in the earliest episodes that the viewers can easily overlook and converged them into a weirdly gripping final few episodes.

Fun fact: Rob’s Dr. Wrecker voice is provided by the late David Warner, the voice behind Ra’s Al Ghul from the Batman Animated Series. He was perfect for the campy supervillain type. Rob is my second favorite character in this whole show, barely beaten by Richard, and these episodes are why. He makes such a natural, incidental villain in a series where everyone is already unnatural.

12:07 It's been a while since I last saw this scene, but after getting more context to it as a 15 year old, I don't get what's more sadder: The fact that Gumball directly witnessed his brother/ best friend reverting back to a lung-less fish and dying in front of his eyes or the fact that Rob has been completely remorseless the entire time he's been mentally scarring and torturing Gumball throughout this entire episode. Rob's cruelty is the reason Richard and Nicole reverted back to babies, Rob's cruelty is the reason Anais and Darwin died from what Rob did to Richard and Nicole, and Rob's Cruelty is the reason why Gumball could've almost been ejected into the void with no second chances this time. The Rerun is perhaps the worst episode in which a character has shown the most heinous acts towards the main character and their closest ones throughout the entire show of TAWOG. And after getting more context to The Rerun, I feel like Rob would've been better off not being saved at all. With all the damage he did to Gumball's life and those closest to him, I feel like Rob would've been better off being purged in the hell that is The Void in TAWOG.
