The double is a great idea. Anytime you go out for a walk. To the Zoo or other event bit kids can ride or use the second seat to put your diaper bag. Snacks coats etc.

Lauren, it's called fibreglass. Jamie, don't argue with Lauren when she is pregnant, please. My eldest was 19 months when my second child was born, and a double buggy was essential. Arabella is two years old, a two-year-old cannot walk very far and it will be safer for Atabella if she is in a double buggy/ pram with the new baby so Lauren can keep an eye on her. If the toddler is not in a buggy and Lauren goes into a shop and is speaking to a sales assistant and turns around and Arabella isn't there - can happen in seconds and doesn't bear thinking about. You need a double pram, Lauren is right.❤ Edit; I had a side by side double buggy, they are safer because you can keep an eye on both children. In the front and back baby buggies, you can't see the child in the back seat very well. Also, the side by side pram isn't too wide to fit anywhere, it gets through ordinary doors no problem, it just looks very big when you're used to a single size buggy. Over a thousand pound is way too expensive though, I'd shop around a lot more. Don't know if you have Smyths toy and baby store in U.K., K think that's where I got my double buggy.❤

Is this an English thing where there's lots of very old buildings? In Australia I used a side by side and never once had an issue getting through a door. They're the same size as a wheelchair and building regulations dictate doorways are wide enough. I also travelled on trains and buses, no problem. I used to always think 2 in a row was better but changed my mind after practical experience.
