Toast, if your wisdom teeth have impacted (sprouted from your gums) the earlier you remove them the better. I lost part of my jaw because bacteria got in through the wisdom teeth site and ate away at my jaw bone. If you're worried about anesthesia, ask around for your friends' dentist. If the dentist has take out their wisdom teeth and successfully anesthetized them then you should be fine. If it helps I'm Taiwanese and had wisdom teeth that were horizontal in my mouth. I've done two colonoscopies and the wisdom teeth removal and did not die from anesthesia.

Toast has something in common with Arnold Schwarzenegger! Arnold also learnt to speak slowly because of his accent, and now he's made it his own iconic speech pattern. I feel Toast also has done that. His way of speaking definitely adds a lot of weight to what he says when he's serious, and adds to the deadpan humor when he's joking.

A waiver doesn't mean that the company that issued it doesn't need to maintain a certain level of safety but they tend to use it as an excuse to extend the court case. Hopefully the streamer got a good settlement at least because spinal injuries mess you up for life even with surgery.

My favorite OTV podcast episode. With the level of production and the energy/vibe of the hosts, adding a background activity along with a scenery change is really good. The only disadvantage here would be to come up with different kinds of activities for the simultaneous conversing in the podcast. Either way, I'd like to say this is nearly the perfect type of format for you guys. Hoping to see more!

As an avid fisherman, the way I can describe why I enjoy fishing is sorta the fight of it. It doesn't count that you caught a fish until you have it in your hands. And the fight between the water and land becomes more drawn out and epic the larger the fish. It's a fun mix of luck and skills. Skills on how to locate areas of higher density fish population in bodies of water, how to entice them in especially when using artificial lure, and how to keep your fish on the line once they've hooked on. Because counterintuitively, hooks themselves aren't actually that great at holding onto fish. Balanced by the luck aspect, on whether or not fish will bite due to variables out of your control. In gamer terms, it's like a high stakes boss battle with RNG. It's not about spotting the enemy, but identifying their spawnpoints, crit-hitboxes, and dodging attack behaviour, in a dynamically changing battlefield. Or sorta like in pokemon games when you walk through the tallgrass hoping to catch something actually good Edit: Fish are a little delicate but not THAT delicate. That fish for sure survived and is happy toast lol.
@eds10572 ай бұрын
Do different fish have predictable attack patterns? Nice post btw, put fishing in fun terms
@arlowelee2 ай бұрын
@@eds1057 They really do lol. Predatory fish tend to target fast moving artificial lures, and bottom feeder fish will tend to only eat still sitting bait. An experienced fisherman that's familiar with a body of water can more often than not correctly guess what fish is on the line just by how they tug it when they're fighting. Predatory fish tend also tire out quickly contrary to bottom feeders but will often jump out of the water in order to unhook itself. I lost a big fish that way. I'm still angry about it to this day lol

FYI stitches prevent scars. Scars are formed from deep tissue lacerations. Stitches force the deep tissue to hold together and bond. I had a deep cut from a concussion which is nearly invisible today but another more shallow cut that I attempted to fix with a butterfly bandage and the scar is super obvious.

A waiver does not fully protect companies it’s usually a protection/admittance that the activity you are participating in carries certain risks but it does not extend to gross negligence of a company. For example, faulty equipment would not be covered under a basic waiver.

The thing about waivers is people presume they protect you than far more than they actually do. If you break a law the waiver won’t protect you. Like in a case where the injury is caused by gross negligence on a companies part the company can still be sued even if they had the person injured sign a waiver. It only really covers you in instances where you genuinely aren’t at fault but could be sued bc it happened on your premises. It’s still useful to companies for that reason but it isn’t like immunity to being sued for every outcome
@Seruphin2 ай бұрын
You can use Corn as bait for fishing and it works well. You can also buy frozen dead bait fish or prawns(shrimps in USA I guess) from bait shops. Hell can even buy any old lure if you don't want to use worms doesnt have to be a Fly fishing one either. Also most fish survive being put back in water, a lake fish should also be fine with its oil coat being touched, its more exotic fish that should not be touched. There is also not much point sitting so far away from the rods too, fish bites can be very subtle sometimes and the idea is to reel in at the slightest movement.

For anyone in the same boat with the wisdom teeth, You can use a straw after 5-10 days. I used it after 5 and was fine with actual cigarettes after I got 5 teeth removed at the same time. There is ZERO reason to be put under to get them removed, the general anesthesia is the dangerous part. You're numbed, and get painkillers after. The laughing gas just takes the anxiety out of the equation, that's all. Not dangerous, it's a MILD sedative. General anesthesia isn't required at all, and you'll be numb anyway.

IANAL, but for waivers: you can basically see it as a "if we did our job correctly, but you get injured unexpectedly, we are covered by this" kinda thing. it is not a "whatever happens you cant sue us" kinda deal. So IIRC the twitch foam pit situation was managed outside of court, but they would 100% have lost that fight, because it was used as intended for any reasonable foam pit, but not up to safety standard. so the injury was what would be called "gross negligence". that would not be covered. But lets make up an example... you are driving along with a professional race driver: you sign a waiver, they strap you in a car thats up to quality standards, its an actual professional, you have all the safety gear, and then you throw your back out while cornering very fast... that would be covered.

My wisdom teeth were also horizontal. Do they not give you alternative options to being put under in the States? I got mine removed in Canada and just had local numbing. It wasn't painful, just uncomfortable + lots of physical pressure against my lower jaw. Maybe for toast, he can consider the local numbing route. My teeth were completely under the gums so they had to cut into my gums, hammer the teeth into pieces, and excavate them like fossils lol. It sounds scary but it was super manageable, so def recommend getting just local pain management. Bonus: You don't get high so you won't stay stupid stuff
