I will say when we went on virgin in February we had a completely low key relaxing week like we've never experienced before. We did trivia, paint classes, booze tastings, cooking class, shows and relaxed in the sun. Did not party once hahaha.

Glad you had a great time! We've been on 5 Virgin Voyages so far and they are our favorite (25+ cruises total with 3 more already planned this year). One thing we wanted to note was while there is the ability to make it a party cruise, we are not big party people, but still have an amazing time each time we sail Virgin. To me, it seems like 2 ships in one... If you want to party, go for it. But if you want to hang out and relax, you can do that too (the Dock is amazing!). We go for the food, the great crew, the beautiful ship and no kids (don't get me wrong, we love kids, just not when they're licking the serving spoon in a buffet ahead of me 😂). So party or not, drinker or not, gambler or not, it doesn't matter...you'll have a great time regardless!

Hello...and what a great video review of Virgin Voyages. We cruised on the Scarlet Lady in February/2024 and had a blast. Prior to cruising, we were apprehensive after everyone claiming that Virgin does it different. What we experienced is that this is a totally correct statement and what we found is that the Virgin 'difference' was a positive change across the board. We also treated ourselves to the Rock Star upgrade and reserved a Cheeky Corner suite. Might we strongly recommend that you consider doing the same as cruising at this level and having you own personal Rock Star Agent is definitely worth the expense!

I am loving this series! I am going solo but part of a group cruise! I loooove the fact that they have both inside and ocean view solo cabins with no solo supplement! It is still a bit more for the solo rooms but not close to paying double like you do on lines like Disney or RCL.

After 4 Virgin cruises, as a couple in our 60’s there are plenty of things to do besides “party” all day and night. Our last cruise we did some of the “foodie” classes, as well as playing pickleball, and just relaxing. We are not “late night “ people…and at this point have seen all the shows, so it is far more relaxing. Just responding to your “not much to do but party” remarks. Great Videos though…enjoyed watching!

We have definitely done just a "cleanse" cruise where we just worked out and ate "healthy". We did the early morning meditation and breathing and yoga classes on the perch (the top deck) and it's just such a nice experience to have. Then we would do spin or bungee which is sooo much fun. They also have the boxing ring and all that jazz which I'm sure you experienced the gym. All the workout classes are also included which is a big plus as compared to other lines. The casino is also smoke free which is also a huge plus for me since the smoke is irritating. Rockstar and Mega Rockstar are also a whole other experience which you should try to experience. ifyou can in the future. The thermal suite is also nice!!

I'm not the most outgoing person in the world so the constant pulling people aside for secret experiences would stress me out but I loved seeing you and Alan have so much fun. As an introvert I totally understand where your coming from. I went on the Scarlet Lady with a group in October and I found that you can be as relaxed or as outgoing as you want to be. It really is what you make of it. While I felt encouraged to be a little more social than I usually am, I never felt pressure to participate in any shows or secret parties. I never had trouble finding a quiet spot to relax either. Honestly, whatever your vibe is there’s plenty for you to enjoy.

My husband and I are introverts and love this cruise line haha. For the shows that they may pull people to participate, we sit up in the seats that overlook the stage. Even during the club nights, we go up to that section and dance by ourselves. It really is a cruise line where you make your vacation your own.

Took this cruise a few times and I want you to know you know you 1000000% would not be puled aside for secret experiences. I don’t mean that as an insult, it’s just not that easy and they choose it based on the person. They don’t just go up to people at random, you have to get to know some of the Happenings Cast (virgin entertainment people) and then they base it on your personality. Even the most outgoing people would be lucky to be pulled aside for one secret experience - never mind “constant”. The beauty of the Virgin Voyage is: it’s whatever you want it to be. Constant party and drinking? ✅ No parties and just relaxing? ✅ Foodie cruise? ✅ Social? ✅ Talk to no one really besides your group? ✅

I think you guys would have loved Razzle Dazzle if you go back on one of the Lady Ships! If you book a future voyage you can often get bar tabs or "loot" to spend on board which helps with the cost of drinks. Also we loved the spa and the splash of romance package was super worth it for us, definitely worth checking out!

Loved that you guys went on this cruise. I went on a 7 day cruise on Virgin on the Valiant Lady from Miami back last November. Never got to try Test Kitchen but did try all of the others. Pink Agave was my friends and my favorite out of the dining speciality restaurants. The ice cream was the best they switched out the flavors sometimes. The pizza was always excellent as well. Loved all the dining options! There’s still so much I wish I could’ve done on the ship. So many decks and areas to explore. I’m glad you guys got to do a lot of things I didn’t get to do. There’s a Deck near The Wake where the Mediterranean food is outside and at night there was a guitarist playing as I looked out at the stars and laid on the loungers. I didn’t discover this area until the night before the day we had to leave the ship. It was so relaxing being able to lay and look at the stars and just listen to the live music! I wish I had found that area earlier. I didn’t get to try any of the hot tubs but I didn’t miss it either. Scarlet Night was my favorite! I even found myself dancing in the pool ankle deep almost the entire time the music played. The pool party was also about of fun on Bimini. I wish there was Jerk Chicken when I went. They were out of it by the time I got there or maybe they didn’t have any the day we were there? There was so much to do and see on the boat, I felt like 7 days weren’t enough. I would definitely go again. My friends wouldn’t do trivia with me on the ship, so I never went. Loved watching you and Alan go and also participate in the Grog Walk. You guys did so much but still there’s even more to do. Crazy, right? The beds were comfortable I slept really well every day and I had a Sea Terrace as well. Loved the hammock although even tho it was November it was too humid to stay out there for long unless we were sailing and it was nice and breezy. Thanks for sharing your experience! Got to relive my time with Virgin from this past November. The Sail Away party was so much fun as well. The crew and staff were so energetic and friendly. I can’t wait to book another cruise with them. Would still love to do a Disney cruise one day. My Virgin Voyages cruise was my first ever cruise so the bar is set pretty high. The one biggest con from my trip was that dining options can be altered but can seem competitive. Same with fitness classes and shows. You can’t book the fitness classes and shows until you’re actually on board the ship. Not good if you happen to have a later boarding time.
