So we did Zootopia for our costumes and I was Judy Hoppes. I asked Judge Doom what that toon had done and why he was imprisoned. It was AMAZING. I was accused of protected Roger. So much fun!

Loved Oogie Boogie this year! We went through Hades 4 times, totalled 21 treat trails, villains grove, both parades...so good! One extra tip, go to the parade where it kicks off so you have time to enjoy low lines while other people are still waiting.

Just tried the Hawaiian roll/cheese bread on my trip two weeks ago. Best thing I’ve ever eaten in a theme park. Text my hubby while eating them to him Disney just made my cheese loving dreams come true. Molly’s face captured it perfectly. Appreciate seeing them get a shout out here.

I’ve been lucky to do both Halloween events on both coasts. Mickey’s Not So Scary definitely has more entertainment but minus the fireworks, I didn’t care for the parade or stage show. I like OBB as while it’s true the entertainment is light, it leaves guests to take in DCA’s spooky vibes, go through treat trails multiple times or take advantage of shorter ride lines. There’s a balance of event offerings and park time. For me, that’s what makes OBB the better Halloween event.

I feel like the event this year was phoned in and just a rehash of previous years. I guess Disney has no motivation to change things up or increase the offerings since they sell out all nights. I really have no desire to go again until they make actual changes to the villain lineup or add a villain themed world of color or something more. I do love villains grove but at this point it is not worth the money imo.

I'm a little bit shook by calling it a "light" version of a Mickey's not so scary. The offerings are different and frankly I would take villains grove over another fireworks display. We can see the Halloween fireworks at Disneyland any night, it's not a party exclusive. And how can Oogie Boogie be called "light" from the perspective of CHARACTERS, it's top tier.

Most Disney separately ticketed events are "Come for the unique, special stuff - with the added perk of no lines!" - where Oogie Boogie is "Come for no lines! And we'll give you candy, too." Since you're not really seeing anything new or different from last year, the only real benefit of going is not having to deal with the Lightning Lane fiasco. For $750 for a family of four for 5 hours, eh, I just don't think this is it.

I liked last years OBB better. This year just feels like they’re trying to hard. Doofenshmirtz? With that forehead and mask? No thank you. He did look like a banana. And that’s not what he even looks like! Less forehead, more hair would be better imo. I liked the Hades part, Madam Mim is delightfully awful, I do not like Ernesto De La Cruz! He is a very bad man and a thief! Were these all new performers different from last year? I feel like a lot of them were. I liked the other people last year more. I dunno. I was pretty jealous of you guys last year for getting to go but this years theme kind of seems meh to me. I’m glad you all had fun though. That Kings Hawaiian roll with the cream cheese and the garlic spread? SIGN ME UP! With the Garlic Parmesan chicken? Even better! I do love me some bread and cheese, bagel and cheese, yum! And they did all new food this year too right? I’d probably skip most of them cuz I don’t like overly spicy, I don’t drink, I’m not the biggest fan of sugar, but that bread looked TOP TIER! Last year just looked more FUN. I don’t even know anymore. Could be cuz of my stupid pain medications dulling all my energy and feelings, could be this year has kind of sucked, could something else! Much appreciated for the Halloween uploads! And uploads in general really! This is my place to come when I want to see some DisneyLand/WDW content and shenanigans!
