Oh wow. This is amazing. Thank you for making this video. I didn’t know that this existed, but now that I do it solves something I’ve been trying to figure out for months. My father is a huge Disney fan, and had been patiently saving up points in the Disney Insider since I think the beginning of the program. Every movie we saw, every dvd we bought he put the points in the system in hopes of saving up enough to get the tour of the Walt Disney Studios. He talked about it all the time. It was his dream. He had just saved up enough when they announced they were never going to be offering it again, and that the Disney Insider program was going away. He was crushed. It’s going to take me some time to save up for this, but I’m going to start putting away whatever I can so I can take him and my mom on this experience to make up for him not being able to get that tour he was dreaming about. Thank you for making this video, it’s amazing to see just on its own, but I’m also really grateful to know this is something I can do for my dad.

As a kid, The El Capitan was the only theater my mom would take me to. They used to have full stage shows before the movie started, not sure if they do anymore but it was such a treat anytime we went. So happy you guys got to enjoy it. ❤❤

Totally get where you are coming from when tearing up! Went to Disneyland for first time, right inside the gates in front of flowers and train, I lost it! My husband couldn’t figure out why I was crying until I was able to speak and tell him. “Walt Disney stood right here!!!” After he grinned, he just hugged me, patted me on the back and asked if we could please now continue on into the park. 🙄😂

The Roosevelt may have been the inspiration of parts of the Tower of Terror, but the obvious building that inspired the ToT lobby is the Biltmore Hotel in downtown LA. The barrel-vaulted ceiling is an exact match.

Molly, Alan- I’ve been trying to plan my first trip to Disneyland Paris for me and my husband. After watching this video, I just decided we are going to do the ABD London and Paris trip with the extension to Disneyland Paris. I’m frugal by nature, but after seeing the video and seeing and hearing about the experience, I think it will just be a better trip. Yes, it will cost significantly more than if we just booked ourselves, but you are right that we will have a stress free curated experience. And it is all first class- good God you stay at the Kimpton Hotel in London!! And you get guided tours of the Louvre, Versailles, the Crown Jewels. So thank you for the inspiration.

I’ve stayed at this hotel a few times and I really love it!!! The views are nuts.. I have one of the Hollywood sign.. I remember the first time I went there it was later at night when I checked in and I got in looked out the window and said “ of course I’d come to Hollywood and find a Disney store” lolol … I just love it there!!!!!

Cool video- happy to see how much fun you had and how much you appreciated the trip. Having lived in southern California my entire life, I have basically experienced this trip piece by piece over the years. I recommend to those who enjoyed this video who may not have the ABD budget, to try expierincing these things on their own. Bob Gurr does a wonderful tour called WaltLand which hits many Disney highlights. I also recommend taking the D23 tour of the Disney Studios. And everyone should lunch at Tam O’Shanter’s in Glendale.

Ive done a solo ABD and it was great. Everyone is very friendly and you become one big family. I’d choose an adult exclusive tour and just be aware there is a single supplemental charge for solo travelers. This one Molly and Alan did usually runs around $5000 per person but as solo you will pay around $7000.

I never felt more seen than seeing Molly’s luggage. I’m a chronic overpacker because I get mild anxiety about not being properly prepared. My purse is heavy. My suitcase is huge even for a weekend. Everyone gives me a hard time about it. But I always carry my own luggage and never ask for help. I pay the checked bag fees myself. Leave me alone!

I also recommend people visit Walt’s Barn in Griffith Park. It’s open the third Sunday of every month. You can also visit the carousel where Walt first dreamed of Disney- just a few miles away. You could even visit Walt’s grave at Forest Lawn Glendale. The Academy Museum is great and is walking distance of both the Farmer’s Market and the La Brea tar pit. It’s super disappointing they’ve discontinued visiting the Hanson Studios. That was exclusive. Again, the Academy Museum is wonderful but anyone can visit.

I live like 20 mins. From Griffith Park my whole life. I have visited n love Walt's barn it is just so hard to go n enjoy with so many people you were lucky to get quite time. Have you ever visited his original home its just above the barn in the hills. The things your doing I have done n lived amongst since born 1952. Florida just has more space closer together.where here Cali its spread from SFV to OC. I'll stay here our Weather is better.

Question? Dear Molly. When you are trying to pick a resort at Magic Kingdom, and it says some refurbishment is being done, rooms or pool…..should you not pick one of these….or like for example the Beach Club is one of our favorites, but pool being closed (which we have never used anyhow) we just like to walk to Epcot! It's totally your call...if you never use the pool anyways then you might still want to stay at Beach Club. You might hear some construction noise and/or see extra walls, scaffolding etc.

Yeah, kind of a bummer The Jim Henson Studio is off the tour now. The studio lot is being sold and they are relocating to Burbank. I hope ABD finds a better replacement than the MPA museum as it is something anyone can do and it’s not a special tour or anything.

Airfare isn’t included in the ABD. However, from my experience, there is not an option not to include hotel. That is part of the pricing.
