I'll be back in 3 weeks, and although I used to want the market to be less crowded, after the last 2 years, I'll be happy to see everyone back in Chiang Mai! Oh!! How did you miss the Thai seafood sauce 😱 Grilled squid + Thai seafood sauce It's a super combo of Thai people especially Thai women love to eat this. If you're afraid it's going to be very spicy, use small amounts. lime in seafood sauce, it will reduce the fishy taste and pull the taste of squid well 😁😁🙏🙏

@@OnePackWanderers Every grilled squid shop always has 2 sauces. 1. Seafood Sauce 2 sweet sauce like syrup made from sugar + pickled garlic juice Most Thai people, if they don't mix 2 sauces, they will only eat seafood sauce. You don't get the sauce because the salesperson probably thinks the sauce is too spicy for you. Or if you buy and tell the seller not to put in plastic bags. They won't put sauce on you. And another thing is that the salesperson doesn't understand English so she doesn't know how to ask you if you put the sauce on or not.😁😁🙏🙏

Durian season starts in April and the fruit mainly comes from Chanthaburi (Eastern part of Thailand along the sea coast) until July. The later months Durian comes from the South mainly Chumphorn. You may have to stay in Thailand at least until April before the early season durian comes into the market. Another famous treat is mango + sticky rice. It is widely available in summer in Thailand from March to May.

You can find Durain around end of April until July. There will a lot of Thailand fruits come out such as Lychee, longan, mangoteen, durian etc

Durian season will be about June. I've been in Chiang Mai Walking Street since it was only in one road market long time ago. If you're looking at the map of Chiang Mai, this locates in the inner city of an old city of Chiang Mai.

What a very nice market! Not sure if you heard but Koh Phi Phi Maya Bay has finally been reopened! There is a nice walkway you take from the other side of the island to the beach. It looks absolutely pristine! KZbinr Paddy Doyle released a video today on it. Only downside is I don't think you can swim in the water but who cares with that view.

We just finished Paddy Doyle's video about it. He's so good at talking on camera! And his audio is amazingly clear. Maya Bay looks absolutely pristine, it seems much nicer than some pictures of it from a few years ago when it was being over-touristed. Would love to end up down by Phi Phi again.

It's "Moo+ Krob". Deep fried pork (part that has skin) that's why it tastes like bacon. Pork or beef tongue will grilled and sliced, eat with a dip. Has a tenderloin texture. I try to think how could the seller say it to be tongue, but can't think of why.

You can prob find some Durian at Warraros market, but so far I found it during the day and night along walking street. I love durian but if it is your first time pare it with Mangosteen ♥️

Hey there! Really happy you enjoy the videos 🙂 We did a video about a month ago that was a Q&A but we also went over what is in our backpacks. If I had to give one piece of advice on what to pack, it’s this: You don’t need as much as you think you do. If you do find that you need something, chances are it will be something small and inexpensive that you can buy almost anywhere. It’s easier buying minor things that you need than hauling around several pounds of stuff that you never end up using. Hope this helps! Happy traveling!

We had durian in Kunming, already "cleaned" and easy to eat. We did not really notice the rumored terrible smell. The taste was fairly mild, texture was gelatinous/pudding-like. Overall, I did not really like the taste/texture. Not awful, but with so many other spectacular and vibrant fruits available, I would not choose the durian. Mangosteens rule!

Mangosteen gang! We still haven’t tried durian. It seems like the taste can vary dramatically depending on the variety of durian you eat (at least according to a lot of commenters on this video). Hopefully we’re in SEA long enough for durian season to roll around 😂

Fist it was only the road from Thapae Gate to the temple, later it was many small roads at the side too. Impossible to see everything during one visit. I lived 5 years in Chiang Mai before I moved because the bad air to Chonburi.

Before Covid, there were many tourists. intended to coincide with the Sunday market There is a saying that if you go to Chiang Mai you must go to Walking Street. It is a charm that attracts tourists that should not be missed, which Chiang Mai Walking Street was born in 2004. and is a model in Thailand, if you want durian should go to the new city market (Kad Muang Mai), which is the largest wholesale fruit and vegetable market in Chiang Mai. Not far from the roast pork shop you went to in the clip before. But I think it's not the season for durian production. probably less If there are a lot of produce, you can buy them in supermarkets.

Durian is expensive. Normally price could be up to 500 baht for 2 lumps. If you want to try and you find the cheap ones, don't buy them. Most people hate durian because of the cheap one and that bad taste sticks in their memory for the rest of their life.

Hey! Right now the weather is really nice. Warm during the day and cool at night. If you plan to stay out late at bars or ride a motorbike then probably bring a light sweater. Humidity isn’t bad at all, but if you’re from a dry area like AZ you’ll still notice it. Also spring is already here in Thailand so it’s getting warmer all the time 😅
