my biggest travel blunder was in the south island of new zealand , we were low on petrol and the garage in a small remote town was closed. to drive to the next town was out of the question , we would not make it. so we slept in the car until gas station opened next morning. no meal , not much bedding , cold night . ha theat touring . my fault not reading the signs..

that lower bridge is totally covered in water in the wet season. dont got to the nt in the wet. its horrid.
@paulrichardson58925 сағат бұрын
a few years back the nt was given the opportunity to become a state. they had a vote and decided to stay as a territory. as a territory they get a lot more support financially from the fed. government.as a state they would have to finance a lot themselves .

They have a sign there saying crocs can turn up only because they COULD, not they WILL. I have lived in Cairns since '88, I have never seen crocs or snakes except for on tv. Foreigners always take warnings too far, its more "watch out crocs have been seen here before" but don't go expecting to see any on the Esplanade in too much of a hurry.

Hey guys! Im an aussie/american, ive been out of Oz for the last 3 and a half years living in Utah. I really enjoy your content, especially your first trip to australia, those videos helped me when i was feeling particularly homesick. Im so thrilled that you two are heading back, im quite jealous but i cant wait to see you finish the big loop! Will you be stopping in Tassy this trip? Travel safe!

Hamburg was severely destroyed in WW II. Afterwards they made the biggest mistake rebuilding it. I guess they needed the harbour for trading. Otherwise, there was nothing important to see. Until in 2000 Miniatur Wunderland opened. Allocate 1 day for that and then move on.

Melbourne CBD has dropped its standard over the past decades. Instead of a lot of culture and specialty shops, it is food, fashion and homeless people now. Far more vibe in the outer Eastern suburbs near the Dandenongs.

Had it gone wrong, the Australian taxpayer would have had to finance your rescue, organised through volunteers risking their life too. Please consider everything first before getting on the track.

Not a cost effective destination. People need to stock going to Sydney it’s not even the capital of Australia.

Having been to Canberra, I can say Sydney is the better tourist destination.

Late to the party, but thanks for checking us out (I live in sleepy Adelaide)! It was way more like the typical Aussie family holiday (endless roads, boring, dusty towns - 'big' & crap attractions (potato, Wycliffe Well aliens etc)). I think that this is why so many Aussies are endeared with you haha! You're such a lovely couple too - so supportive of one another. Thanks for sharing & I'm keen to see where you are now in real time!

I don't know if you ever check the older comments but here goes anyway. Your freebies made me laugh. In Lake Como the local culinary school was doing free food for the locals. We had two excellent dishes. We think they realised we were foreign but they let it slide. Helps make up for every expensive thing.
@OnePackWanderers6 күн бұрын
Hahaha, nice! Did you just sorta walk in and act natural? We originally went up to Milan in order to see Lake Como and then we realized how expensive Northern Italy is! Turned back around haha.

@@OnePackWanderers Well I guess food was cheap! Yes, Michael was very casual and we just did a day trip, with a ferry on the lake looking for George Clooney's place. Looking forward to your next update, but if your timings were accurate before, you may well be close to leaving before we see the first here. Best wishes always, Bo

Looking forward to seeing your "back in Oz" vids. You 2 are inspirational, your adventurous spirits and willingness to tackle things (scooters in Vietnam, heights, bustling crowds) along with your openness and honesty in sharing it all with the world... Brilliant. I look forward to seeing where the winds take you! (any thought of seeing Scotland by any chance?) Hope you enjoy being back in Aus!

I’d recommend starting with FerryHopper to see available routes and which companies offer which routes. Once you find one you like, you can save money by booking directly with whichever ferry you’ve decided on. There are 3-4 major ones operating in and around Greece. This particular one was with Blue Star Ferries.
