We Went To Toby Carvery + It TOTALLY Divided Opinion... (Food Review)

We used to go to the Toby Carvery at Badgers Mount in Kent some years ago and it was indeed very nice too of course at the time then. Oddly before it had been a Brewers Fayre pub restaurant and when we went then on a Friday night it was not busy much at all. But later it altered to the Toby Carvery and it was as busy as can be in comparison! I have not been back there since as I am disabled alas. The one you tried here, The Crown in Bromley, we used to go too also some years ago when it was a Beefeater at the time then too. We were not so keen on there though ourselves. I have not been back there though either since it became a TC though. Thank you of course too!

Thank you for all your videos and all that. As I live near Dartford I do know a fair number of the ones in Kent that you have gone too, although not so much the ones further on afield as such. But whatever, well done too!

I’m not British, but I love the idea of a Sunday roast as it seems to be a little similar to what we in the US would call a Sunday dinner. I think the food can but a big part of the concept I believe is the social aspect and getting together with family and friends.it seems in Britain. You are more up to have a roast beef or chicken for your sundae roast. We’re in the US. It could be any number of dishes upon your regional cultural traditions. I just love the idea of a big Sunday dinner!

We love a roast dinner but not really Toby carvery tbh. We have never heard Gubby before haha. I love the roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings. Jon said all of it haha. Xx

A roast has all the food groups (assuming you have veg) and no the veg doesn't have to be boiled to death. I roast mine and its delicious. I love a Toby, good value, plenty of it and no cooking or washing up. So there 😛 x

Right I’m with Jason on the whole roast is so over rated and I could take it or leave it BUT it’s completely different story if I go to Toby or the Victoria hotel in Canterbury I love a roast then with everything even lots of gravy!!!

Love a carvery, but in Toby andFarmhouse Inns, meat is too thin. I love a Steak bday Carvery in a Beefeater, where you get nice thick slices of beef. Everything in a carvery you want, protein, some of your 5 a day and roasties. Mmmmm I want one now!

Im not a huge fan of Roast Dinners but some places its the only thing i can order and it's just the bare minimum, (meat, boiled potatoes, veg) 😩 no gravy, mac and cheese, sauces so its dry as a stick lol
