We Went To Tokyo Disney Sea! | Weird Food, Fun Rides and A Fire Breathing Dragon In Fantasmic!

Here is part two of your first day at Tokyo Disney Sea! We got to try some really interesting food while we were there, including garlic and shrimp popcorn and a sausage that has a chicken bone in it so you have something to hold onto while you eat it. We also got to try probably the best thing I had while we were out there a little clam shaped ice cream! It was super cute and delicious! We rode 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and Aquatopia, both of which were super fun! We got a chance to see Tokyo Disney Sea as night started to fall and the park came alive with colors and lights. It really is a very picturesque park! At the end of the night we got to see Fantasmic which in my opinion is the best Fantasmic I have ever seen! Afterwards we head to the bakery for a quick bite before the fireworks which are the same fireworks as we saw the first day over in Tokyo Disneyland. The two parks are back to back so they set off the fireworks in between them. We will see you guys tomorrow for more Tokyo Disney fun! It gets more confusing from there, now theres Gelatoni (a cat Mickey & Minnie met at a gelato place in Italy) and StellaLou, a bunny - I think Duffy met her in DisneySea.

That back story is the newer, Tokyo story. Wikipedia has the original back story. “Duffy was previously known as "The Disney Bear" with an entirely different backstory. The original story found on the tag of the first released bear's ear said that Mickey brought his favorite bear to Magic Kingdom Park. Mickey sat in front of the castle wishing that he had a friend with him to share the excitement and magic of the park. Tinker Bell appears and sprinkles pixie dust on Mickey's bear, bringing it to life. Mickey then hugs the bear and a Mickey-shape appears on the bear's face, forever bonding Mickey and his new friend.”

Rachel's Next Adventure Duffy met Gelatoni in Mediterranean Harbor. He dropped the gelato he was eating and Gelatoni used it to paint a picture. And he met StellaLou in the American Waterfront. She dreams of being a dancer. And now there's another new friend coming to Hong Kong Disneyland, a yellow puppy named Cookie, who likes to invent new recipes in the kitchen. She's REALLY cute (she launches on July 3).

That Fantasmic show was INSAAAANE Stitch part made plenty of sense as that was his marketing from the beginning, hijacking the show, the lion king part was so vibrant and fun, the cone stage being the sorcerer's hat was so awesome, GREAT use of Chernabog cause we never really get to see him do stuff in these epics, Maleficent fight was INSANE, and the volcano usage was top notch. I want to see that in person. Life goals there.

OMG, that was an actual chicken thigh bone shoved in that sausage! Fantasmic was amazing, and I loved the mix of English and Japanese. I am SO wanting to go to Japan! I cook Japanese recipes at home, and I'm in love with the flavors. I giggled when Tim called the gyoza bun, 'goyza'. Y before o, "Ghee-yoza' I do see a little difference in the editing, Tim, but honestly, you must have had SO much footage, it would be a Herculean task. Good job.

Those gyoza "sausage" buns were a LIFESAVER when I went in December. We ate like 3 for dinner each. Tokyo Disney Sea is the greatest theme park ever. Every inch of the park is themed to the degree that Diagon Alley has at Universal Orlando. Journey to the Center of the Earth is worth a trip back to Japan to ride it.

Not sure if you did another day at DisneySea, but for anyone going the"Out of Shadowland" show is really good and easy enough to follow the basic premise and emotion without knowing Japanese. Actually all the DisneySea shows are worth a watch. Also the fortress explorations are pretty fun and you can find more connections to S.E.A. there if your someone interested in that.

I thought it was cool that the Japanese version of fantastic includes a short excerpt of Hunchback of Notre Dame (specifically a few notes from The Bells of Notre Dame) during the, oh gosh what’s his name, the demon guy from Fantasia bit. The Disneyland California one doesn’t have that. Hunchback of Notre Dame is one of my favorite Disney soundtracks if not my favorite.
