Suggest you look at putting roof vents in over your sleeping areas. They remove a lot of heat. We have an old Bedford house truck. Looking forward to seeing you on the road. Also Taranaki based

Washing the underneath of the wheel arches, you would do better (than using a wet brush) to use the brush on the hose, so that you have plenty of water to wash away the clay and dirt.
