There’s something wrong with these people. I’ve watched a documentary about this case and it’s clear the parents are behind his disappearance.

Steven was a vulnerable person, his physical disability would have severely hampered him if someone had tried on that day to abduct him from the toilets, His mother should have got someone to check those toilets before she went back home, This is not about his parents, it’s about Steven, and a duty of care that was owed to him.

Conversely if he was lying on the floor in the toilets he would’ve been found eventually. He clearly wasn’t there.

Something is not right. Most friends would check to see what is taking so long. Imagine what a parent would do for a child regardless of the child's age. Is there proof he was even at the beach? If there is proof I'm confused by the mother's lack of urgency of why he was taking so long.

@user-mq4hr1ly4b curious if you are out with friends or family and they go into the restroom at a restaurant, store, or park and they don't come back in an hour, that's normal? You would not check on them? My point was I would check on my friends imagine if it was my child or a relative regardless of age who did not return in a timely manner. The parent child dynamic is always there. If my adult friend was gone for an hour I would ask questions be concerned if my adult child was gone for the same amount of time I would go in the bathroom, start calling their name. Either his mother knew the son had a plan to leave or knows what happened to him.
@hedakom6 ай бұрын
@@margaritamencias2241 depends where they go, in a restaurant yes; outside like that honestly no, she was standing outside the whole time. I’d have assumed they would have come out. Also people were walking in and out all day, if he was still there someone would have seen him lying on the floor, so clearly he wasn’t.

@hedakom It's their child whatever his age he is there responsibility. Going in and not checking is one thing. Id do it but I can see others may not but.l walking off and going on a long walk home on is another thing all together. You are then not bothering and that means you don't care. If I was to make the choice to go gone I think many of us would've been calling friends, family, screaming out to strangers etc to go in or to come help She removed herself from the situation.

I can't understand why his Mam never asked someone to at least go in to the gents to check if he was in there. It's certainly a very strange case. In the documentary the parents don't come over well at times, but I suspect that was just the nerves of being filmed.

If this lady didn’t have an accent, I think we would be able to pick up More on how strange she sounds. I noticed that sometimes when she says yes, she shakes her head no. She also is overly descriptive of the day and almost seems like she is acting like a 23-year-old is still not her child. I mean, she sounds absolutely ridiculous. Just off of the one fact that she did not have anyone around her who was male go into the bathroom and see if he fell over. I mean, you would think especially because he has a short arm or something like maybe he could have hurt himself and it also looks like the Dad in this interview is making sure that she says the story correctly like he’s just hyper focused on the thought of what she saying like he’s not actually present in the moment

For an elderly man his age it’s not unfortunate to say that. They were raised in a different time and the way he said it has been taken out of context he means if he is dead or alive it doesn’t matter they’d just like to have closure and know what’s happened to their son

The male presenter asked all the right questions. Very strange case ... the parents of a disabled son would show a bit more concern? Also why are the presenters sitting so far apart. Just asking 😊

I can understand why police thought they did something, but I don't believe they did. I think the young man walked away that day. What he did after that, it's hard to say. I suspect he committed suicide that day, but I like to think he ran away to start a new and independent life.

@@watsonspuzzle in the docu, it is apparent that Steven relied heavily on his parents for support, which has been given since he was a baby, and when he had the accident with the lorry at aged 2/3, these must have been very difficult times for them all as a family. It appears that Steven was trying very hard to try and get established in employment. I feel that for him to leave the safe comforts of his home, without the support of the Clarkes would have been extremely difficult. Over the years he would have needed his NHS number to work, and be registered, I cannot see an outsider supporting Steven without money for all these years.
