1000%. I was 13 when my dad died very unexpectedly, and my stepdad died when I was 19 in a frwak accident. You spend a while hoping it's fake. A dream. A false reality. But to actually be told it was fake must be so traumatizing. I can't even imagining the emotional trauma it would have caused, never mind later finding out the reason why he faked it. Narcistic sociopaths are masters at reeling in unsuspecting victims. It's very hard to comprehend that someone who is so nice and kind to you, is actually grooming and setting you up. I've had a total of 4 runs with such people at various times of my life. I consider those encounters lessons 'cause with each encounter I got better at detecting them, once I did they moved on to the next victim.
