Amazing video as always, I was there just after Covid restriction, it was so quiet and felt sad for the local who affected by it. However, the beach one of the most beautiful beach i've been to.

This place is something else! We only had a few days on each island, but I highly recommend to spend at least a week there as theres a lot to explore. We preferred Koh Rong to Sanloem as its more developed, more restaurant options and cheaper as well. We are planning our next big South East Asia trip and if stars align we will come back and stay on Koh Rong longer! 🙌🌴☀️

Thank you! Drone rules change all the time so I advise to do some research. As far as I know, currently you need permissions for certain locations where they are banned like Phnom Penh and Angkor. However you do need to follow common rules that you can find online. 🤙

Thank you for this video!!! I am currently planning my trip to Cambodia as I've waited over 15 years to go, and I'm going to Koh Rong and Koh Rong Sanloem as well.. But if you don't mind me asking, how did you go from Koh Rong to Koh Rong Sanloem? I can't seem to find a ferry on 12goasia, and the only possible way I see is from Koh Rong, back to Sihanoukville and then to Koh Rong Sanloem.. is that correct? I'm spending my birthday on Koh Rong Sanloem, as I did understand that's the chillest island of the two. Realllly can't wait to go!!

You can take a taxi boat from Koh Rong to Sanloem, its easy to arrange, go to the jetty at koh Rong and ask for a transfer to Sanloem, just tell them where are you staying and they will drop you at the right bay on Sanloem. No need to go back to Sihanoukville. And remember that the ferry back to Sihanoukville can pick you up from Sanloem. Just go to the jetty 1-2 days before departure and book a place on the boat. We got an open return ticket, went to koh Rong, then took a taxi boat to Sanloem and then took the speed boat from Saracen bay back to Sihanoukville. Enjoy you trip and its a perfect place for a chilled birthday celebration!

We booked it with an agent right next to the pier. There are many tour sellers and they all sell the same trips. I think it was €10, but becauae we also booked transfer to KR Sanloem with them, we got a small discount.

Its already past that point. The islands look nothing like they did just 5 years ago. The Cambodian government sold a 99 year lease on both islands to a Chinese development company. They are literally bulldozing khmer family homes that have been there for generations. Same thing happened to Sihanoukville. Big hotels and casinos for Chinese guests. Only Chinese employees. Corruption is rife. Nice video though.

Cant say anything about Sok San, but I think Kao Touch is the best place to stay at as theres more happening there, more shops and restaurants to choose from, Long Set beach is easy to walk to, so you can relax there. Saracen bay on Sanloem is good too, however its a bit more expensive, not many restaurants or shops. If id go back id stay at Kao Touch.

No guys, this is not Koh Rong. It *was* real Koh Rong 12 years ago with no scooters, and you had to walk through real jungles to get to the Long Beach, which was totally UNINHABITED. We swimmed naked there half-day. There were no beton-paved roads, no road lights, and 5 times as less people. They commercialized the nicest Cambodian island. Now they're going to do the same with Samloem. Disgusting. 🤮
