What is so amazing is that even in poverty and old age, they were of good cheer, strong in their ability to survive, stayed active in their gardens and in nature, made friends with those nearby, supported one another, kept peace between themselves, and took only what they needed, even when it was being paid for. Having money means little, and can taint us in understanding what is important in life.

@@Khaab00 throughout history, up until modern times like ww2, it was the kids who took care of parents. Family took care of family. But when you leave it up to industrialists and technology, this is what you get. They DO get a pension check , and the government pays for education, healthcare and the like. The government isnt suppose to live your life for you or take on your own family responsibilities . Family break up and travelling all over the world for one job or another is leaving these elders in need.

Another great video Sergei, thank you so much, kindness is rare nowadays and you made so many pensioners happy today, it was probably the first time in their lives they have been treated like this for free. The first old lady who you gave some groceries but fixed her tap looked incredibly poor in that run down house, she had nothing it seems but flowers everywhere and she didn't complain about her circumstances. All those pensioners deserved this help they have lived hard lives and still do.

Hi guys, I am a German and when I have time and peace I watch this channel. For me it's always very emitional, because I like the way you go to people who have problems, and it seems that you want to change them in a friendly, helpful way, and you succeed. I worked for the German embassy in Moscow about 15 years ago. I was responsible for the visitors who came and I was responsible for the security, that no people came into the embassy who could endanger the security. It was not so easy for us who worked at the embassy to enforce this. In front of the embassy, the Russian police checked all visitors who wanted to enter. These 9 months in Moscow were not an easy job. What I want to say is that I got to know Moscow differently as an embassy employee than the way it is shown to tourists. I think your work is simply good, because you help those Russians who have no lobby. I would like to thank you for that. Gerald

Grandmother is so lovely. I used to look after the elderly when I was working, and used to love hearing their stories. Poor lady, I'm so lucky to have a nice comfortable flat, the repairs are done quickly. And I get a good pension.

I grew up helping out my Great Grandmother. Some of my happiest times. I loved hearing her stories. I worked as a caregiver most of my life. I always enjoyed talking with the elderly.

Such wonderful grandmothers that work hard yet never complain wait for the shop on wheels for their only food. This was such a lovely gesture of kindness from the heart. Grandmothers who speak words of wisdom with such gratitude. Thank you Sergei for giving happiness to these lovely people xx
