That really bothered me. It's trivial to get High Card from its base +3 mult to like +27 in a normal run, which is equivalent to a x9 mult multiplier. Base mult and chips are huge in this game. Of course it wouldn't be a Balatro video if there weren't something to rage at lol

@@ras0k Stuntman is only an x4 because the egg skipped Plutos for whatever reason. With some base chips, you can get Stuntman to be closer to an x2 or x3, which can still be really good, but not when each additional steel in hand is worth x2.25.

Idk, but to answer why the mine wasn't popping off it's just because your high card base mult scales SOOOO slow that your steel cards are multiplying single digit numbers almost the entire time, like your tarot card joker adds more flat mult than the steel cards end up multiplying. I guess mime would be better for hands that have higher scaling mult?
