Love this! We're going in October and I've watched a bunch of videos too. Great drone footage! I'm glad you took the helicopter too. I am really trying to decide if we want to do that or the ferry.
@GaryTheGringo3 жыл бұрын
Do both! Take the ferry there and take the helicopter when you leave. If you take the helicopter when you leave you get to stay at the resort longer. It doesn't benefit you to much when you arrive.

@@GaryTheGringo Thanks! I think that's what we're going to do.

Congratulations on your free week. Isn’t that meal at Gordon’s for the returning guest fantastic. The last time we were there we stayed for 12 days so we got to go twice to the returning guest meal. Luck us.

Thank You! Yes it was fantastic probably the best meal we had while we were there.

Amazing video! Would you happen to know the weather in June? My fiancé & I just booked for our honeymoon, and are curious about the weather.
@GaryTheGringo3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! We have never been there in June. But being that it is so close to the equator the weather stays pretty consistent all year long. Every day is around 85 degrees and at night gets to 72/74 degrees. Only difference throughout the year is how much rain they get. You will get rain almost every day but very rarely does it rain all day. Usually just a quick 10 minute shower then sunny again.

Hi Gary! My husband and I met you in 2019 at the Grande. We are going back next April and I know you mentioned you typically fly in a day early and stay at a local home for a night and check into sandals bright and early the next day. Any recommendations on where you found a house and private transfer from airport and to sandals?
@GaryTheGringo3 жыл бұрын
Hello Sarah! We booked a place through Airbnb for our first night. Although I don’t think that is an option at the moment thanks to the corona virus. But that could all change by the time you go next April. As far as transfer goes we used a local taxi guy that has now become a family friend. His name is Dayne and his number is [seven five eight] seven two four-one two nine five. Sorry had to spell it like that to try and keep spammers from blowing his phone up. Tell him Gary sent you his way. He is a great guy and a COVID approved taxi.

how much time did it take to get certified ?
@GaryTheGringo3 жыл бұрын
I think it was right around $300. You can get resort certified for about half that. but that really limits where you can dive at.

Great video! Curious was that the 3 hour PADI Discover Scuba Diving course? Is that all that is needed to dive for the rest of the week? Thank you!
@GaryTheGringo3 жыл бұрын
I got my PADI scuba diver certification. It lasts forever and you can dive all over the world with it. The resort certification lasts one year and is only good for sandals properties. If you just do the resort cert you are limited in where you can dive. If you do the PADI cert you get to go out to all the good spots.

What kind of camera are you filming with? And what drone do you have?
@GaryTheGringo3 жыл бұрын
I filmed this with a Sony A7SIII with a Sigma 14/24 f2.8 lens and a Mavic Mini. Also filmed a few shots with my iPhone 11 Pro.
