My husband works in security and that security guard isn't allowed to threaten anyone with a dog and if one comes they have to be on a lead at least 8ft away from the people he's confronting. My husband said that guy is a 'jacket filler' which is someone who thinks he's it and he's not. Scruffy guy for a security guard. I think you handled him very well Alex. The scruffy guy was me, yes I live here with my family, who I was walking with and having a picnic when a load of guys trespassing came into back garden. Tell you husband yes I fill my jacket and would he with his family feel intimidated but a number of guys including one with a face coving feel intimidated. ??? . Did I threaten them with setting dogs on them??? No . If my dog was there they would be less chatty to me and more movement because he would be very protective of me. Tell your husband if I’m walking my dog in my garden do I need to have him on a lead ??? I don’t think so. Get your facts before you chat a load of rubbish

@@kevrandall994 Honestly you were fine there, I thought your reaction was proportionate considering there were four unknown people on the land, one with a face mask who by his own admition got aggy with you - you don't know who they are or what they're doing. You weren't threatening to set dogs on people and definitely didn't say "I'm setting my dogs on you", and you quite clearly calmed down during the back and forth.

I've just discovered your channel. I'm totally hooked. The sense of danger and adrenaline rush is addictive. This one had me going! I can identify with the events here from both sides of the fence. We all know that you chaps don't mean any harm but be honest, if you owned a property and saw 3 or 4 masked lads walking about it, you're not going to assume that they're there just to admire the architecture!

He makes a fair point, most people don't have private property signs on their homes or gardens but we would all be angry if we saw multiple men running around and hiding in bushes in our gardens. The fact you where hiding proves you knew you shouldn't really be there. Try and have a little more respect and try contacting the landowner first.

@@VacantHaven I agree he shouldn't make threats but see it from his perspective, he is alone and he has no idea how many of you there are or if some of you would be violent. Chances are there where no dogs or another "guy" but he was probably feeling threatened in the moment, as we all would be if there where people running around hiding in our back garden. I mean no offence to anyone but if you had just approached him and asked if you could take some photos he might have been welcoming, no he probably wouldn't let you in the property for safety reasons but the confrontation could have been avoided.

Firstly i do really enjoy watching this channel and others like it . Having said that you can't expect people not to be angry when they find you creeping about on private property yes you guys have great intentions your not stealing or destroying anything. But the security or owners etc dont know that. They have probably had thieves and vandals in the past and the guy was there by himself your a gang of 4 or 5 people he has every right to try call there bluff and threaten to send out the dogs he is just trying to do his job and look after the place he is one man going to confront 4 / 5 people in a rural setting and again i do enjoy watching these channels and do respect that you guys are doing what you do respectfully. But at the end of the day you are not ment to be there. How would you react to being tasked with looking after this property and coming across a group of lads snooping about especially if you have had issues in the past.

This place abandoned or not is still a private property and cordoned off probably because the building is unstable There maybe valuables within the house. You have to respect the fact that the security guy was just doing his job.

I don't know if you spotted it, but the blue room which had the bath in it was not the original bathroom: in days before bathrooms were a common feature, the bath, when fitted (as opposed to a tin bath in front of the fire), was often placed in the kitchen with a fold down lid to hide it when not in use. This was especially common in poorer homes. By the door of this blue room, partially hidden from view by all the plant matter, is an old electric cooker switch confirming this was once the kitchen. The socket on the cooker switch has round pins which dates it pre-1947 when the present square-pin plug was introduced, though there presence in older homes lingered for decades more. The style of bath with what are known as 'globe taps' is likely to date from around 1920s-30s, though are still available today, and the style of the toilet near the front door is of a similar vintage. I'm surprised you didn't try the taps or pull the chain to see if the water was still connected as it's remarkable how many properties I've seen on YT in a terrible state of dilapidation where the water (and sometimes electricity and even gas!) hasn't been turned off! A great video as always and I hope one day you're able to make it back to the mansion for a proper inside visit - maybe sneak in before daybreak and leave after dusk!

rule number 1, when someone says they are security ask to see their SIA badge, they legally have to be wearing it and have it on display, if not then they are not operating within the law. as it states all security personnel must be in position of an in date SIA license to perform frontline security duties and have it on display at all times, and when asked to show it must.

I love how you all spend ages running away and trying not to get caught, and then when you're caught you give it the big I am about how you're entitled to be there! And the guy absolutely wasn't threatening to set dogs on anyone, he was clearly saying you would choose to run when the people with dogs turned up. I get the curiosity of exploring abandoned places and I admire the determination and courage it takes to investigate. But if you're going onto private land or into properties that don't belong to you, when you're caught just hold your hand up, apologise and move on.

Then you would go to prison. Where I live (U.S.) uninhibited structures must have a no trespassing sign. If it's not posted and you get caught all they can do is ask you to leave. And you can't be arrested unless you refuse. If the property owner uses force first they are automatically committing felony assault and the trespassers can respond with deadly force. Only if the property owner can prove they were in fear for there life can they use force.

Hi Alex, well this video was a bit different from your usual 😂. I think it’s time English law was brought up to date like here in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 where we have a law called the right of way. In simple terms it gives someone the right to walk across land as long as they are not damaging it and leave it as they found it. Obviously you can’t enter someone’s property but you can have a walk around and enjoy the landscape and appreciate the nature.

I think the "security " bloke was a little scared, hence the silly threat, still you were not causing damage or taking thing other than pictures, which unfortunately these days is not always the case, around here, some one even stole a whole staircase!!. any way. keep up the exploration.
