When he says "smile through everything", I took that as when bad things happen, instead of being brutally inactive, we should see it as a test.and the only way we could pass it is to be active,positive and work as if nothing happened. I'm expecting your opinion on this, sir.

@ while that isn’t a completely bad way to look at it, the bit at the end where you say “as it never happened” is not wise. That’s just denial. Peter’s basically refusing to accept the truth until he can’t keep his feelings in and expresses them in one of the worst ways possible, and not even after minute after adopting this method, does he go into a rage and punch a hole in the wall until his hand is caked in blood, and possibly fractured. It’s one thing to find a coping technique that keeps you smiling and not thinking of it for a while, and another to just pretend it never happened. He’s doing the latter.
