Freycinet was pronounced perfectly. Bicheno is pronounced Bisheno, all three syllables with the same emphasis. The best blowhole is in the Tasman Peninsula. Those are giant kelp forests in Bicheno. Super important for the health of the marine environment and in drastic decline around the state. I've camped on Wineglass Bay Beach decades ago. Really difficult sand to walk on - it was really tough, but worth it.

Phew, thank you! When we looked online everyone seemed to pronounce them differently so weren't 100% sure. It's incredible how huge the kelp is, it's unreal. Diving amongst those would be so cool.... It would be terrifying going for a swim and getting one wrapped around your leg and not knowing what it was 🤣 It looks like such a nice place to camp, I'm sure waking up there and having the beach all to yourself would have been amazing.

Well done guys, and thanks for taking me on a hike that i never got around to doing, and i think is beyond me now, I've done the wineglass bay walk, the beach was a bit of a let down for me.

Glad you enjoyed coming along with us! 💙 We were really debating on doing it as it looks like a really beautiful spot but did see online that the reviews were pretty mixed. Did you go for a swim or just the walk?

Honestly- you haven’t done Tassie if you didn’t go to wineglass bay - best beach in Tassie- great swimming spot also because shape of the bay means that the water is warmer- if you haven’t been there you wouldn’t fully understand, but it’s almost like a pilgrimage- there’s a reason that it’s described as being iconic!

All the more reason to come back to Tassie! 😉 We've been gone almost 2 months now and we're all ready thinking about when we can next head over.

@@lydiaandwehan - I gather that even though there wasn’t a video, that from your comment about the painted cliffs, you went to Maria Island? That’s the two spots where I’d say to anyone going to Tassie, that you just can’t miss (oh and Bonorong, but you nailed that!)

Perfectly pronounced. 🎉 Mt Amos is tough you guys did good. Have you got good hiking shoes? We used to go to Coles Bay a lot in summer loved it. But hung at the beach there. Been behind in following as been under the weather. But as always ❤ it!!

A tough but fun hike for sure. We did buy really nice hiking boots before starting the lap (and they've been amazing) but we've been wearing them non-stop so they've definitely worn down quite a bit. I'm sure we'll need to get new ones in the near future 😅 It was such a nice spot, we easily could have spent weeks there just hanging around by the beach 🏖️ Sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well, hope you're feeling better soon ❤️

How's that called a "hike", that looked like mountain climbing to me😅😅But you guys crushed it like legends, I would've turned back at the beginning. Cheers.
