I heard after all this happened that they let the elderly who were sick stay until they passed away. They had requested that. Family members were allowed to go in and check on them but once they passed away that was it. If that is true, that was kind of them to honor their wishes.

This is so weird. Someone must be taking care of the grounds. The grass only looks a few months overgrown not years, and flowerpots are all moved out of the way. No one would have had time for that.

Grass can take longer to develop in certain situations than other things because most airborne stuff falls slowly and lands on the ground and there for kills it longer,than things that are higher up.

So what is being in Fukushima supposed to mean? Doesn't mean anything to a whole lot of people.
@miriampraus2740
@miriampraus2740 3 ай бұрын
@@anniesmomfirst Following a major earthquake, a 15-metre tsunami disabled the power supply and cooling of three Fukushima Daiichi reactors, causing a nuclear accident beginning on 11 March 2011. All three cores largely melted in the first three days. The accident was rated level 7 on the International Nuclear and Radiological Event Scale, due to high radioactive releases over days 4 to 6, eventually a total of some 940 PBq (I-131 eq). All four Fukushima Daiichi reactors were written off due to damage in the accident - 2719 MWe net. After two weeks, the three reactors (units 1-3) were stable with water addition and by July they were being cooled with recycled water from the new treatment plant. Official 'cold shutdown condition' was announced in mid-December. Apart from cooling, the basic ongoing task was to prevent release of radioactive materials, particularly in contaminated water leaked from the three units. This task became newsworthy in August 2013. There have been no deaths or cases of radiation sickness from the nuclear accident, but over 100,000 people were evacuated from their homes as a preventative measure. Government nervousness has delayed the return of many. Official figures show that there have been 2313 disaster-related deaths among evacuees from Fukushima prefecture. Disaster-related deaths are in addition to the about 19,500 that were killed by the earthquake or tsunami

Oh my stars David! The start of this explore had my anxiety through he roof! Which was so so stupid, because your Fukushima trip was awhile ago and I know you all returned safe & sound. That was so eerie, the only sound was the birds and at night the crickets, etc. Going inside the homes was really insightful, very interesting. All those cars packed in like sardines, you guys were all excited about that red Porsche and all I could do was marvel at how beautiful those purple flowers were. Thank you David for taking us back to China with you and as always, be safe❤

The strange noise you were hearing on your way out, near the water, it was Frog's. As soon as i heard the Frog's I could tell that Fukushima is inhabitable now. Fros are extremely sensitive to their surroundings. Frogs are always the first to become extinct if their environment is contaminated. My guess is Japan wants to preserve that land for their version of the "Shadow Government."

And you should have been arrested. So you and your viewers know, radioactive ☢️ materials emit radiation. If you touch materials like dirt, dust, goo or whatever there is that is contaminated with radioactive material, then that stuff emits radiation for potentially a very long time depending on the isotope type. If you didn't have a radiation meter with you, then you have absolutely no idea what kind of radiation dose you received. You can not smell, taste, hear or see RADIATION. You can however feel the effects of being exposed to radiation. Depending on the dose level it will start like a mild sunburn but as your soft tissue cells in your throat, stomach and intestines die, then your skin will begin to blister like it was burned. Since the living cells of your body are dying faster than you can regrow them, you perish from a very painful and agonizing death. Great efforts are taken to try to protect stupid people from getting exposed accidentally. But you just can't overcome the laws of nature. Evolution will weed out the unfit to progress with life. Radioactive materials can be a powerful tool used to achieve fabulous outcomes and is used everyday safely. It's used to generate electricity, for medicines to fight cancer, to take pictures of broken bones, to measure material density's in manufacturing, construction and many many more beneficial ways. That said, it's dangerous if disrespected and not handled properly. Your viewers see you walking around a "RED" zone like its some kind of joke and isn't harmful. Problem is, you don't know. Without a "gieger counter" to measure the dose rate, you could have received a fatal dose. Time, distance and sheilding are midigating factors that keep us safe from exposure. Stay far away behind dense materials like lead stone or steel or keep your time of exposure to the radiation as short as possible. Don't intentionally pick up and pocket souvenirs or collect particals of dust in your hair and on your pant legs or shirt sleeves. Sure the particles will be small but it all depends on which isotope to know how powerful even a single grain of sand can be. That's how you protect yourself. You will most likely live but never, ever knowingly get up on radioactive materials that are emitting radiation and especially without any kind of equipment to measure the dosages. Educate yourself on the dangers that are present. Don't just jump in the ocean and hope to swim. First learn to swim before getting in the water. Warn your viewers.

Seems like you have a lot of good knowledge regarding this. So I will ask my question to you. And I'm not trying to be a smartass asking this either, I really want to know. If there is a lot of radiation in that area, how can the trees and the vegetation and the birds and any other wild life be thriving in that area as you can see and hear?
@GordonIsFreeman
@GordonIsFreeman 3 ай бұрын
@@DaveD2488 same as in chernobyl it changes structures of vegetation and their dna but trees dont die because of it, also there could be potential strays in these areas they live but not long and because of radiation they cant reproduce most likely, as in chernobyls case as disaster was long time there is dogs and cats living there now as also people were living there really small amount before war. But watching these boys going here without geigher counter is pure gore for me. They never knew when they were in VERY RED ZONE. For people radiation is just more deadly than to anything else, same as for kennels. Birds i dont know they stay up high the higher you stay the less radiation there is. Most radiotion is on the grond and in the ground
@DaveD2488
@DaveD2488 2 ай бұрын
@@GordonIsFreeman Good point. Very dangerous and risky. If they were contaminated think of what they do to others they come in contact with. Wonder if anyone is working on ways to counter act or cleanup the effects of these types of situations. Man comes up with ways to destroy things need to come up with ways it. It's crazy! Thanks for the reply.
@GordonIsFreeman
@GordonIsFreeman 2 ай бұрын
@@DaveD2488 The most dangerous thing in here as they didn't have gheigher mether i see they even don't properly understand radiation at all. Without the meter they could get some particle or even hot particle on their clothes and just die, and if they are all in the same room radiation posioning could be for everyone, you almost had to leave all your clothes there and bring new ones after the trip if you dont even have meter. Yes Japanese are working there i saw some kind of documentary you can find it in youtube. This disaster is not that bad in terms as chernobyl were but still they are shoveling surfaces of sands and so on, so the less radiation would be on the ground. There is this one dude in my country who makes trips to chernobyl with people, BUT he also were in fukushima few years ago, he mostly never got out of the pawement/road, because he knows the dangers, and these guys was in fucking grass as tall as their heads... what the hell

All the animal life...birds carrying on, snakes, critters of all kinds are flourishing in their solitude without people. Awesome video! When Fukashima happened i was expecting my 3ds....and was afraid if would be held in import custody forever due to possible contamination. Of course I was freaked out we all might die, too. I was a teen when Chernobyl went off so Fukashima was pretty terrifying. I really cant believe people not knowing what happened at Fukashima if they were on earth when it happened.

I would really block out the license plates. Japan is strict when it comes to privacy also. Please be careful & aware.
