The heater guy is right. 4kw is essential for a truck your size. A properly installed ducted system would be a game changer for you. Though ducting needs to be lagged to stop heat loss, expensive but you'd never regret it.

Thanks so much for your advice 🙂 I will read Marcel you’re comment as we do definitely need to upgrade our heater before next winter…

Called into the cafe a couple of weeks ago and had one of their large sausage rolls. Very nice and thanks for recommending them. Found your truck photo on the wall, I just looked for the white door on the side of all the truck photos. Enjoying your videos. Thanks.

That's so good you enjoyed the sausage roll. Marcel loves them a little too much haha. Cool you saw Beast on the wall too!

A shame you had heater issues again, but it's a good place to go to get them sorted - hopefully was as simple as low fuel level. We've used the parnassus park a few times as an alternative to Kaikoura to break up the trip to Christchurch, it's usually much quieter and can be used as a base for the coastal drive out towards the Waiau and Hurunui river mouth. Great to have a mix of hard stand and lots of grass areas to spread out, plus the old school buildings. The old school pool has now been removed out the back. I actually looked at buying that McKeown station and shop property briefly.

Wow, thanks for you comment, I reckon we should go back there and explore the area a bit! To be honest, we had never stopped at that fuel stop and shop before until Marcel’s bosses took us there a few episodes ago. Marcel LOVES the sausage roll even more that he does the ones he sells at his work 😂

Great to see your adventures again, regarding the heater-we got the heat ducted to our bathroom, so good 😂, ran a pipe from heater under caravan up through the bathroom floor

True! That’s a good idea. We do have an electric heater in the bathroom but have to be plugged into mains or have the generator running for that 🙂

I’ve got a Heatport too and it’s been going great for three years. Good to know they’ve moved as I bought it off then when they were in Banks Peninsula. Summer is doing well with her narration. 👏🏻

Always wondered what was at Parnassus, great that you shared this. Be interesting to see how the heater issue pans out, makes sense re low fuel. The new heater system Marcel discussed sounds like it would pay for itself in the long run, cheaper to run, more vents etc. Looking forward to Hanmer video. Great wee filming clip by Summer, and AMAZING how you son can do those sqwat things, right down to the ground, they are NOT easy, that takes great strength.

We were toying with the idea of putting in a little fire place but then we have to deal with firewood…. So probably just upgrading the heater would be best 🙂

Pango is great at Heatport , did you see the pool grave 🪦😂 we stayed there before we got our heater fixed.

Not sure who Marcel saw but probably the same guy 🙂 What’s the pool grave? 😂
