That's a miracle!!!! So exciting. MIRACLES DO HAPPEN!!! Can't wait to see the new space in our next virtual saxophone lesson. Moving is so not easy.... My brother and his fiance went through it twice. Hi Hannah Congrats on you new apartment! I have a couple of questions about the new situation. How much is it saving you? What happens at the end of the lease? Do you go back to market value or is there a protection built in that the rent can only increase so much each year?

Thank you! The apartment is rent stabilized and can’t increase more than 3% each year. 😊

How much was the rent in the old apartment and how much do you pay in the new apartment?

How does the lottery work with your current lease? Do they time it based on your current lease or help you get out of your lease early if needed?

The don’t, unfortunately. We were lucky to only have two months left at our old place, and found someone else to take over for the final month. We did have to pay double rent for a month though. :(
