Yeah that's pretty obvious. I've had a few polydactyl cats, and it's an inbred only trait. That inbreeding also seems to make them extra friendly and trusting, while also not doing well outside fending for themselves. I imagine someone couldn't care for him and abandoned him, or maybe he just got out and wandered off. My polydactyl cats would be just as happy and friendly with s random stranger as they are with me.
@tdbhmusic3 жыл бұрын
A woman in NYC who works primarily with homeless kittens suggests most kittens she's found outdoors were born outdoors. They grow into cats who need food. Cats being born outdoors have a rough life in many places. Add in humans that turn a blind eye and chase them out of the yard, and you have a hungry cat with no medical care that has no place to rest and no humans loving it. Saddest thing ever.

Humans rarely do anything that is not in their self-interest, but not all self-interest is negative. Compassion invigorates the soul. Making the video may or may not make money, but what it certainly does is inspire others to acts of kindness. What is the definition of pet?
@MaynardsSpaceship Жыл бұрын
@FarmerFpv I'm aware that you're looking for a dictionary definition. Go pick one up and read it, then. Pets are accessory to humans. A lot of people treat their animals, kids, and significant others as "pets". There is a sense of ownership and lack of respect. I love and respect all animals. I do not keep "pets" of any kind - animals are here WITH us, not FOR us.

We took in a starving stray cat and he did the same thing, followed us everywhere. We had to watch our step because he'd sneak right up and stand real close to our feet. He was the most loving kitty you would ever want to meet. He passed away a few weeks ago (kidney ailment of some kind) and we are still grieving. Even our other cat is grieving still. We miss him a whole lot and the house just isn't the same without him. We've been trying find a kitten and for some reason we're having a heck of a time. You'd think there was a shortage of kittens in the world.

I just got a new kitten 2 days ago. The neighbors cats literally chased it into my house trying to attack it, my hands got scratched up trying to separate them. No idea where the mom is tho. The kitten keeps meowing but no cat has come to "talk to it", usually the mom will go out and search for its baby but I haven't heard any cat meowing back to it yet. Tried to put it next to my cat but my cat is scared of it so I guess I have a new kitten now. It keeps meowing to go outside but pretty sure all the neighbors cats will kill it if I let it go 😬 It also never stops meowing even when I'm playing with it, not until I put it in it's little cage/box but I feel like the neighbors are gonna complain. They better not complain tho, none of my neighbors seem to feed their cats so they literally all come here constantly taking my cats food, got to the point where we just feed them all tho there's like 2 hours of cats fighting every night with loud hissing, they better not complain about a kitten meowing rather softly... If I ain't feed all the cats properly then they start fighting even more and even chasing my cat away, lotta scratches on my cat when they start competing for food. Yet I almost guarantee my neighbors are gonna complain about the kitten tho 😑

The extra toes on the front feet are so adorable and make it look like he is wearing cooking mittens. When he finally recovered, but still couldn’t fully meow, I don’t know why that shook me so much, but it did, and I cried.

For what it's worth, I also had a cat that couldn't really meow at all. Thankfully that cat wasn't neglected (Loved by her previous owner so much, she cried when she gave the cat away as a kitten (Too big litter to keep them all)). Like a hoarse sound, or squeak came out of her. This squeak stayed and never grew up to sound like her sister, whom I also took with me.

Gnar is so adorable with that x-paw in his feet. Reminds me of an "oven" mitt. His relationship with the human is so special. It's's reflective of his loyalty. He's waiting for his master to come home. Awaits by the door, while the other cats are nowhere to greet him. Gnar and I say "million thank yous to the beautiful human with a pure and selfless heart 💜❤️. 👏🐕🌍👍
@truthlikevelcro56892 жыл бұрын
Ohhh, it DOES look like an oven mitt, lil' cutie! Very creative observance. I would adopt a kitty like that in a heartbeat, such a little sweetie! Cats that are rescued, not at a shelter so much, but from the street, have been shown to be far more loyal than the ones that were bought from a pet shop or a person giving away kittins, not that they, don't absolutely adore their guardians too, but there is something about the sheer gratitude of a street kitty. I wish people understood that cats raised in a home do not do well when left behind, and they cannot fend for themselves if they been taken care of since birth. It breaks my heart. I have rescued many strays and even ferals; the ferals take lots of time, but despite peoples' beliefs that ferals cannot be domesticated, they actually can do quite well after you put the time and patience into the job. It really depends on the cat.
