I was at a seminar last weekend and the host of the event spoke of making over $950,000 in net profits from a $400,000 portfolio in less than 6 months despite all the rumors of a market crash. Any tips on how to make that much in these current markets would be appreciated.

@@roseannemelissant2453 It’s very possible, i made over $340,000 in 4 months from a portfolio principal of $150,000 although i was guided by Lisa Jill Grenell, a broker i was assigned from Merrill Lynch, a licensed trader with brokercheck although she requires a bigger amount to capital to be able to invest with her, she does a really great job at investing nevertheless.

I like the statement of coming to understand who we are. I’ve studied hundreds of KZbin videos on investing by all sorts of people. But only recently have I come to achieve an approach that fits my objectives and is in alignment with my thinking. Now I watch most KZbinrs video and let it go in one ear and out the other. What they are recommending may work for themselves, but doesn’t work for me.

Imagine if everyone only bought "the Index" today and forever forward. Everyone would own the same thing, and that would only change when "the guy" that updates the index made changes to it. He would do this based on market cap, or some other factor. If it was only market cap (most common index factor), everything would move at the same rate because everyone is buying and selling the index. Active trading is required for the efficient market theory to operate. I agree for many folks indexes are a simple and good solution. But it is only the active professional manager that keeps the index in check. Look at the problem with including Tesla in the SP 500 index BEFORE it even had a profit track record. Just because something is big doesn't mean you want to own a lot of it. The index forces you to own it whether you like it or not - at least a good active manager can avoid these anomalies. I believe there is a place and purpose for both.

Interesting. For me, born during the Great Depression and retiring at age 48, I learned early in life that no one cares more about your money than you. So, I took responsibility for how I did or will do. Stocks are just part of wealth building, sure, an important one, but, just a part. Anyway, where am I now? Buy quality and have quality companies which care about, and share, profits, with shareholders, regularly and increasingly, not by promising you’ll make more money by letting the company keep the profits. ETF’s are just a relatively new form of derivatives.

Oh I see the Diversity Virus has infected your brain along with millions of other now brainless people. Sure there's equity of opportunity at this juncture but there hasn't proven to be an equity of outcome has there? (Affirmative Action destroyed America by lowering and lowering the educational standards which are being even today continually lowered and forevermore lowered until America either falls to complete ruin OR we smarten up and go with the MERITOCRACY that every other country in the world maintained. They haven't succumbed to the Diversity Virus. Let's face it there's only ONE group on the planet that leads the way through their intellectual superiority. It is a difficult fact to accept and most don't. But the evidence is out there as plain as day. Don't question why there are only old white men on this show. It's those very beings who have given you the entire world as we know it. Caucasians are only 6% of the global population but have over achieved exponentially because they account for nearly 100% of every single innovation and invention since the Industrial Revolution and I'm sure way before then as well. Furthermore they drag you folks up with them. They don't have to but they do out of the kindness of their hearts. Caucasians are not demanding their due (!) but they certainly deserve it and they should be honoured in our society. As well as globally. That is their heritage and future. Get over it and get on with it. A meritocracy would bring the diversity that is vetted to the table. You cant and shouldn't ask for anything more. And All the other beings on Earth should just be grateful. They should also stfu and sit down. Quietly. And think. Thinking would go a long way. Honesty should soon follow.
