If you put it in 0.25 speed, you can see that the sword didn't hit the base at all, it just hit the tip of the squares right in front of it. It wasn't a bug, just extreme luck from blue

Depends on the circumstance. The stabs are good for worming your way into territory during a push, but afterwards whirlwinds are what clear up the gaps and secure the position. Plus, if you go slow enough it becomes essentially a wider, more risky stab.

This was great! While i feel sad to have two terrible predictions in a row (yellow then lime), i am amazed at the climax between red and blue! For now I've left it out because there can be some inconsistency between hitting a marble and converting a block that in turn touches the marble to push it backwards, so from a viewer perspective it could sometimes appear "random" whether a marble inflicts a hit or not

If the blocks had hp and you had different metrics for velocity and spin speed, seems a bit complex and might take time to balance but might be cool for those chance movements when a blade starts spinning like crazy or just shoots off super fast.
