And these PBF masks were designated ONLY for the tank or anti-tank crews. Really. Just to filter these remainings of chemical/radioactive agents for these 10-20 minutes (ok - for ATs or tanks the whole air inside was needed to change in some 7 - 9 minutes at most and to be switched to inbuilt vehicle air intake filters). Warsaw pact stopped use those after some 1982 (?) Warsaw-pact maneuvers that proved a lack of crew training in the fast and correct procedures upon chemical warfare. Only participated countries who successfully countered the condition occured were East-Germans and Russians.

It's an Okay mask, most seem to be between £15-20 in the UK. For the filter make sure it's a post 1960s filter, as long as it's not leaking it's safe.

If the filter is post 1969 it should be safe, I’d recommend getting a ks 80 filter.

What a nice hamster-sim video! Those cheek-filters... They look somewhat dumb, really. The whole design trend was needed for those 10-20 minutes to filter inside air of infantry fighting vehicle whilst the integral pressurized-air clearing system kicks in.

I've got a thought about 3d printing or constructing some sort of external filter port for the XM28. Kinda like the one in Black Ops. Of course there would need to be some internal changes, so the mask wouldn't rip due to the bulk of the filter. Not to mention it would probably result in cutting the mask, which I'm not going to so with a mask that I spent $90+ on. Just a thought though.

I think the best use of 3D printing would be to make a GOST to STANAG adaptor, so people can easily use NATO filters in GOST masks.

Cheek filter masks are just advanced versions of full face particulate masks just with some charcoal in it to stop cs riot gas if I got a cheek filter mask I’d only use it for going into dusty areas

Not all of these filters have been tested so impossible to say, the M17 filters are safe from asbestos but contain chromium.

No, the CT12 is an FM12 style mask but with no drinking tube, if you want something similar get the FM12, but they are slightly different.

Originally it was an S10 in the older games, but they've since added more parts to the mask. If you look at the Umbrella mercs in Resident Evil 2 they have obvious S10 masks.

i recently got a fp5 polish filter to use with a gp5 which has been fully sealed and never issued, but i found that from what i gather it was made in 2007 and expired in 2017 would this filter still be safe to use?
