I used to wear a cushion base product from Laneige, & while I like the concept, cushions are too dewy for me & would show a lot of my texture. But not bad for Em Cosmetics’ 1st base product. Great video, sis👍🏾

Sweet Secret is definitely your shade, girl! It looks so great on you! You look gorg! I am pale as hell Lol. So, I had to get Cloud Dream, the lightest shade for myself. But, I absolutely LOVE the EM Cosmetics Daydream Cushion! It literally feels like you have nothing on your face at all. I love it way more than wearing foundation any day. Plus, it gives you such a gorgeous, dewy, your skin but better look & glow. Love you, Michelle Phan! This is the first cushion I have ever bought, and I absolutely LOVE it! Usually the refil is about 15 g and the one that comes in the compact is 15g so together it’s still only equivalent to one

Technically the refill would be less than $24, because you are paying for the compact and puff cushion, as well as the product itself (which you get two fills of)

It does seem like you used a lot of product -- way more than this lightweight cushion was meant for -- & that's affected the way it looks & wears. This isn't meant as a dig at all; I noticed that Allie Glines in her review did the same thing. It isn't meant as foundation or concealer, just as a way to even out the skin tone on light/no makeup makeup days.

Since she was using this instead of sunscreen, she had to put on so much. In order to get the SPF advertised, you have to put on 1/4 teaspoon of the sunscreen product. That’s why it’s never a good idea to use makeup as an SPF.

I think the error was trying to use this as a sunscreen. It’s never a good idea to try to get sunscreen from a makeup since you have to put on 1/4 teaspoon to get the advertised SPF. Always put on a sunscreen and the put makeup on as makeup. Then you won’t be worried about making sure you have enough on.

Soo this is the dream sunscreen cushion for winter? ❄️😎 I was so excited about this one. And just right on point Michelle! Tbh in the winter It's so hard to just look good. You need to put good moisturiser and foundation and a good highlight so you don't look washed out from the foundation.. I like this concept ❤️ one product solves most of my concerns

☁️ Love this honest review! I feel like this will look good on those who have great skin to begin with. however for those who have oily combo, acne prone skin and acne scars this is a No go! It looks sooooo dewy to the point it looks so greasy.

I think when set properly, it will be less 'greasy'. You just need to prep your skin properly based on your skin type.

I absolutely love this product but then again, I have very combination skin that leans on the drier side. The one thing I don’t recommend though is using this product as your main source of SPF. Use a separate sunscreen. Using less product will result in a better overall application. I make sure to use a pore reducing primer as well. Love cushions in general ^.^

I completely agree! It definitely accentuated my pores, but my sister thought it looked good on me. Very dewy looking, but I also wanted to try it without powder. I have oily acne prone skin.

I have dry skin & when first applied it it made my pores super noticeable but after a literall minute it melted into my skin! I was so surprised! I agree with the shade range I got the lightest shade which is just 1 shade too light but seeing how the second shade looked on you it definitely would of been to dark for me! 😅

I have this and i am NC37-NC42 in Mac the Medium/Tan Sweet secret is quite a great match. I have oily combination skin and if you’re looking for a cushion that lasts you all throughout the day this is not for you. It has no oil control whatsoever! Also using this for me is time consuming to be honest. Every time i wear it and when i glance at the mirror it does looks good like it made my skin looks so much better.But close up it does gets pretty oily quickly. Also the price is okay since you do get a refill. I do feel like this would work well if you have dry skin and already perfect skin. So for me i kinda like it but not sure if its worth it!

I think you put too much on to begin with, considering how many times you dip the sponge back in to get more product. The thing with cushion is that you kinda need some time to tap it in first then get more product to where you need it, for it to look natural. Just seeing you got wayyyy lots of product on your face. Just my opinion.

I use the Sweet Secret and I love it. I don't apply as much as you did as I like a lighter application. I have normal skin and didn't have any issues with it. Great product. I also think the price is reasonable since you get a refill. Thanks for the review!

I still can't justify spending that much on a cushion foundation.... you can go to the YESSTYLE website and get the missha cushion foundation for around 7 bucks. It works just as good if not better, only bad thing is that it doesn't have a huge shade range.

Not worth it, you can buy Laneige or IOPE , they have an ok shade range compared to other brands, about 8 shades or so.

I also don't have any blemishes or anything to cover up... sheer coverage to even out and brighten my skin tone is all I require. This product does that for me. On Sam the finish is kind of dewy, but on me it was a satin matte.....

For the price point I would have appreciated no chemical spf, or higher quality chemical filters. I have a history of reacting to avobenzone when it's on my face (vs my body where it's fine) and I know I'm not alone as far as sensitivities to chemical spf. I'm hoping at some point they will also sell the refills separately to create less waste with the compacts. Since they literally made it so you can just insert a refill..
