Hey man, good to see you on this channel. We chated before through a different channel some time ago. I'm at a little over 2 years of growth now and its down to my shoulders. Finally past the awkward stage. Probably need to update my profile photo too. For me wind is annoying but since i have super wavy hair, its really humidity that is my absolute worst enemy! Cold, dry hair seems to be when my hair is in its best condition for management. So i'm loving the cooler months coming up moving into winter. And i also wear my hair down more often now since its much longer.

I know that feeling. Behind the ears is much more convenient. You kinda just have to deal with it when you go over the ears but any little gust of wind will drive you crazy.

I actually like the wind blowing my hair even if it’s in my face just because it’s riding and it’s cool blowing everywhere especially whenever my hair smells nice. However, it can get somewhat annoying if I’m trying to do a high parkour drop and In trying to focus on where to land If I want to, I can put it back in a bandana, helmet (from my bike that I used to get there), headband, or stretch comb headband. It’s actually long enough to tie up all of it except the 2in if I force it, but I obviously don’t tie it up yet, it isn’t long enough to actually tie up, and I also do look bad with it tied up at least for now. However, it will probably look better when it’s over a foot long in at least a year because I‘ll be able to tie it in a low ponytail with some slack for volume. My hair is currently 6 inches at the bangs btw, so it’s definitely a lot different than long hair blowing in your face.

FOR ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE LONG HAIR: remember to keep it moisturized if you have dry hair, when moisturizing remember to do it only in the ends, otherwise your hair will be oily and it does not look nice at all. Don´t wash you hair daily, 2 or 3 times a week is normally enought. ok bye :)

Vinny V argan oil is the best, you can also use coconut oil or almond oil. Use it once a month, put it in your hair 30 minutes before shower and then wash your hair with warm water :)

I find that brushing it sort of slicked back while its wet and letting it dry can result in some volume and when it dries the parting is usually out of my face . Its quick and avoids using a blow dryer so win?? (Maybe )

+thomas chambers That's why I used to do, but I wasn't getting quite the results I wanted-which led me to learning and trying this method. But everyone's hair is different and behaves differently, and if it's working for you then hell yeah. And again if you're going to use a blowdryer, aim to reduce frequency and intensity.

There’s a product called a heat protectant that you can spray and work through your hair before using heat tools. Also maybe run the hair dryer on cool at the end to help close the follicles.

My head hurts when I put it in any sort of bun, it just gets too heavy after a few hours. I've french-braided it into 4 strands/parts and it looks cool as hell too (with a gap in the middle where I just wear a ponytail). I'm a girl, but to me it looks like something a man can wear too. First thing that comes to mind is using some oils-coconut oil is a great one to try, also argan oil and many others. I love guys with long hair. You mentioned that you rarely wear it down, except recently (as of the date of the video). I hope that has changed. As an advocate for The Long Hairs, I would think you should wear your hair down more often. As I mentioned, I do love men who have long hair. In my humble opinion, I believe, if you have long hair (man or woman), you should wear it down most of the time. Otherwise, what is the point of having long hair? If you're (someone with long hair) going to have it up all the time, you should just have short hair. Does this make sense?!?!? I appreciate your channel. Dear longhairs, brush your hair while dry before you wash it and try to keep it as straight down as possible to prevent it from tangling during the washing process. Then gently use that wide tooth comb to detangle after the shower.

And if you blow dry, use a heat protectant and please only dry with the air flow pointed DOWN the shaft, never up. It just roughs up your cuticle.

@@leirurock504 it's better to brush your hair when it's dry and use a wide tooth comb when it's wet. Brushing before you wash is good to detangle and not have knots in your hair that shampoo or conditioner will tangle up into. Hope that answers your question.

I have a dumb question: do you use any kind of de-tangler spray to help with the tangles? i.e. Aveda Brilliant Spray Damage Control? It will seriously help with the tangles, and cut your detangling time in half. I have hair to my shoulder blades, and it pretty curly, and this spray is a life saver for me. Another tip from a long haired fellow to another.. good day sir!

Could could also try switching to a shampoo that doesnt have cones in it. I found that cones weigh my hair down eliminating any volume that I would otherwise have.

Never comb wet hair! Never use brush or blow dryer. Finger combing is the best method. Let hair dry naturally. I have long hair. It's been my situation for most of my life so I know what works with experience.

Best bet would be to go the the hairdresser and get it trimmed a bit, it will make it grow and look better. They can also give you tips specific to your hair type. Like if it's dry you need to moisturize, etc

I don't even want to think how much damage I did to my hair before knowing you guys. Just after the shower I used to brush my hair pulling hard on the tips or where I was encountering a tangle. I used to dry my hair very aggressively, using a brush to detangle them. Results: my hair were very dry, as my scalp, and very weak. 2 weeks ago I found your channel and I'm following your tips, even though I haven't got very long hair (a little past the shoulder) I feel very motivated in growing them further.
