Tbh, i wish this was more of a video that recommended ingredients, products, and brands rather than just kinda being an advertisement. I came into this vid alr knowing i had flat hair and i needed some products that are light weight and give volume. Problem is that im not sure which ‘buzzwords’ and ingredients i should be looking for when i go to like walmart and which brands are the best for it. And this video didnt rly help when i came to that, it just advertised an advertisement.

Hey man couple months ago I commented on your channel saying my hair is always frizzy and tangled in the morning when I wake up and you suggested a sleep cap and last month or so been using it and it really is a game changer , I lost probably around 50% of my hair the last 4/5 months so thank you man , and I am hoping my hairline doesn’t recede more :( one side of my temple has receded a lot this year only 1 side tho :( I am 22 once 24/25/26 will get a hair transplant but thanks for the good information bro

Thank you for leaving this comment as I have the same issue and I have never heard of sleep caps before, but I will look into it because of your comment, so again, thank you! I have been taking better care of my hair, still not using the products I need exactly but my I have had an easier time dealing with my hair because I have a better idea of what my hair needs, it is hard to come by the products I need exactly since the labels aren't as helpful or detailed as the ones mentioned by Trav. My hair is almost curly, mostly 2c-3a, though it's hard to say exactly.

One of the biggest problems i face is the frizzyness, especially at the top. I have long, curly, coarse and thick hair, but for some reason the ones close to my hairline are always much shorter and don't grow as long, but the hairline is still there so i assume i'm not balding. So when i tie up my hair, a lot of hairs, especially the front ones, come out within a few minutes and i start looking like a frizzy chicken. I just can't grow out some hairs long enough so i could tie them together, nor can i keep the untied hairs close to my head and not frizzy. I started using thick and oily hair conditioner, but it doesn't seem like it helps much
@Yordi.i.i
@Yordi.i.i Жыл бұрын
Same boat I was in. Really really coarse thick hair just don’t have the front hair problem. I started using this one aussie branded mousse after the shower and coconut oil after the days I shampoo and frizz went down like 80% even when I don’t use mousse
@izzyh.3581

I have 3b hair type which sounds like you or maybe you have 3c. My hair is about 6-7 inches if I unravel my curls. When I use a elastic headband to get the hair out of my face, I also use gel or hair spray for all the hair that is being pushed back. So the sideburns/ear areas and my hairline just above my forehead. It keeps those hairs from coming undone because they are too short. I also use the Aussie brand like the other commenter. I tried Pantene and I wasn't a fan. Did the same as the Aussie except I've been using Aussie for 3 years. The max hold hair spray and gel are no joke(frosty blue). The hair spray is stronger than the gel although they are the same "max hold". I use the conditioner mousse level 1. I don't like the level 3 mousse because it's too stiff to work through my hair. And there's no level 2 lol. Hope this helps you.
@temorinkaari
@temorinkaari Жыл бұрын
@@izzyh.3581 I believe my hair is somewhere between 2C and 3A, but not entirely sure. Just a bad combination of thick, coarse and curly hair. Been growing for about 10 years now, but somehow i still cant tie it properly without hairs going out. I keep trying different conditioners, current one is for curly hair, but it seems too thin and doesn't really do anything, will have to switch for something really oily. The gel and spray are a nice idea, might check it out. Also looking into getting a leave-in conditioner, but there aren't that many options where i live, can barely get anything that's not commercially made. Not exactly sure what mousse is, but will look into that as well, thanks
@izzyh.3581
@izzyh.3581 Жыл бұрын
@@temorinkaari maybe youre combing/brushing too often? My hair used to be much longer as well, I grew it out for 6 years. I've learned that brushing even in the shower with conditioner takes away from my curl definition. When I still wash my hair but don't detangle my hair always looks it's best. Mousse is kind of the equivalent to pomade but is wetter, looks like a cloud in the palm of your hand. Just adds some weight and minimal stiffness.
@temorinkaari

@@izzyh.3581 I only comb my hair when washing, right before i wash out the conditioner, to avoid all the pulling and resistance as much as possible. So once/twice a week. Although i started doing this maybe two months ago, before i used to comb before washing, which probably did some damage. Also havent trimmed my hair all this time, wonder if that would help in any way

I donated my hair about 25 years ago because someone told me they make wigs for little kids with cancer so I got my haircut and gave it to the people who make wigs . Now I'm 58 years old and my hair is to my belt loops. If I can't find something to fix my hair I'm just going to Cut it off and donated so they can make some more wigs after that I'm done I'm just going to shave my head and keep it shaved .

As a woman, I have to disagree :D lol. My hair is a mess, very dry, coarse, frizzy, while also thinning at places. That’s why I am here to learn how to look after it. It is not manageable with just shampoo and conditioner (or at least the ones that I tried so far). Your hair sounds like the opposite. I know a girl who rocks your type of hair, simply choosing a sleek long hair style. But if she wants curls or volume, I guarantee you that she cannot achieve that without special products.

Hello everyone. Super long haired man here (down below butt level when braided, and I'm 6'1). I came here to unlock the truth about hair, and why there's bullshit in this video. Do not do anything he says in the first part (the frizz). You're going to break your hairs sooner than you think (trust me). With hair, what you call "good healthy hydrated hair" is not actually hair with water. In fact, water is the enemy here. You can see it with the hair close-up at 1:44 ! When your hair grows, it's not perfect as you can see in the left side. If you put water in there, it's going to enter those little imperfections, and open them, as you can see in the right side. You DO NOT WANT to retain water, but to actually chase it as much as possible. To reduce, or even eliminate frizz, your best bet is post-shampoos. But you need to apply them correctly. First, well, clean your hair with shampoo. Then rinse of the shampoo, making sure the water with shampoo goes down the length, so it cleans the longer part while not being too agressive on it. Then, WRING OUT your hairs. IT IS PRIMORDIAL. Do not overdo it though, as it can be dangerous too. The technique is simply to take all your hair from the top (close to head), and press down little by little, to chase the overflow of water. Depending on your hair, you may have to do it 2 or 3 times. Remember, just do not apply extreme force, everything should happen naturally. Then, it's time to apply your post-shampoo. The more hair you have, the more product you will need. Apply it and insist on the tip, as they are the most sensible to damage. Pass it multiple time, for around 2 or 3 minutes. Do not let it be static. Then once you're done, rince it off with clean, not too hot water (you do not want to burn them). Then wring them out again, same technique, moderate force, before drying. DO NOT DRY WITH HAIR DRYERS. They have a tendency of burning hair, and it will not help us. Take a towel, tap your hair, wring them out VERY SOFTLY this time, to make sure there's the less amount of water possible. You can then style them (I braid mine, more practical). Then let the night do its magic and tomorrow you will have shiny hairs. But why does this work ? Think of your hair as a unpainted/unfixed wall (where you can see the blocks), and after-shampoo as the cement (or even paint). WIthout anything, the wall doesn't look shiny. But when you apply that cement in a straight manner, it will enter the small gaps and consolidate the wall, and the surface will have way less imperfection. It's the same with your hair and after-shampoo. Remember the close-up at 1:44 ? There you go. The after-shampoo fixes the imperfection, although they are still here under. Depending on your day type or hair length, it might not be necessary to do it every day. But if you regularly see that your hair have that frizz, then you should do it a little more often. There you go. Sorry for long post, sorry for potential mistake in my english (being Frenchie here), and hope you can achieve bright shiny hair on the cheap side ! No need of expensive stuff and hours of treatments ! Although I'll need to measure my hair length sometimes, might be around 1,20m for real...

As cringe as it seems, stop using anything in your hair and just scrub it with water for six months, your natural oils will come back to normal and you'll be surprised at the results.🤷🏻‍♂️

Thin Hair ≠ Fine Hair. Thin hair is a sign of hair loss while fine hair means that your hand strands are just skinnier

I've had long curly since 2014. In the last couple of years I noticed the top (crown is thinning) my hairline hasn't changed. My hair is always dry frizzy and looks teeeeeeeerible. Can you help? I don't really shed a lot. Probably even less than 100 hairs a day. I hope it's not f***ing baldness. Can you help?? 😭

It pisses me off when I wake up with good hair after a shower. I don't go out most of the times and I get no compliments on my hair. But when I wake up with frizzy lion mane hair and have to go out to get groceries or run errands. I'm literally told by boomers to cut my hair. It's just one of those days that my hair just wants to do what it wants.
