I went and saw We Are Messengers in concert @ camp electric this year and I got to do a QnA with Darren and while I was talking he said something that moved me to tears that night. "Your testimony is so amazing... but don't let yourself live in the past. Learn from it, don't forget where you came from and run hard to Jesus.." I cried that night and after the concert, I got to say thanks. That night I was going to cut because I felt alone in the world because I couldn't fit in. now I am celebrating 8 months free from cutting and suicidal thoughts. My ex-wife gave into her mothers demons and divorced me and I have been living on the streets of Hilliard, Ohio for 5 years now fighting for my rights for my kids. He told me that from the beginning that what my mother told me about my being instructed by my name, Christopher James, was no confidence, that she was instructed to do so by him to be named after Christ and his brother James. My blood lines have been traced back to the Macrabees, a Jewish family that rebuilt King Solomon's temple in 90 AD. I have had 7 emergency brainstem surgeries total for a brainstem tumor that is magliant. I can send you the affidavit that explains all of this in detail. But I am dying and it is okay that am. I have been able to do incredible things while alive on this earth. Eve, Thank you for sharing your story. God will never forsake you. That's one of His many beautifully amazing promises to us as His children. As far as being bitter, angry, and sad, just let it go and let God heal your heart. Don't try to run from your past mistakes. It doesn't work. Instead, it leads you down a dark road and, in my experience, running from the past pushed me further away from God. Just like a loving father, though, God is always there, watching, waiting, and longing for us to come to Him. Also like a father, God will comfort us and love us. His love is the only love that is truly unconditional. Allow me to share a personal story of my own with you. Dec 22, 2017, my ex husband passed away from cancer. My heart broke. I felt guilty for having treated him badly when we were married, for promising to be his friend after the divorce and then abandoning him, and for not being there to hold his hand as God took him Home. It was around this time that I started hearing the songs "Point To You" and "Magnify" on K-LOVE all the time. After I had heard "Magnify" a couple of times, I started hearing the song "Stars" by Skillet. These songs began to pull my attention away from my grief and guilt by reminding me that God is bigger than any problems I face, and that I owe my whole life to Him because of Jesus' life, death, burial, and resurrection. God used these songs to remind me who He is, and to renew my faith and trust in Him. I guess the point I'm trying to convey here is that God can heal your wounds with time. He will also speak to you if you listen. For me, He spoke (and still speaks) through the music I listen to. Have a blessed day!

I’m about to graduate high school, except I’ll be walking separate from my classmates, with only 5 family members in the audience, I won’t even be able to shake my principal’s hand. No prom, no yearbook signing. I miss my classmates and teachers so much but I probably won’t see most of them again. I am a pretty picky guy about things like auto-tune, and voice. As a voice teacher and coach with kids on Broadway and people I've coached who are now singing at the Met Opera, and myself having performed for LAOpera as well as many contemporary Christian local bands, jazz bands, and performers in Nashville and the world (hope I don't sound like I'm bragging, but God has put all of these things in my path to bring me to a place of service for others and working at a local church as an associate pastor). I hear things others don't and it's my bane. Not yours. I am blessed by your songs and must overcome my critical nature. I would love to hear some of your works more unplugged. With that being said I do appreciate a metronome and in-tune performances. I pray that God gives you longevity with your voice to proclaim the gospel in the way you do, that would be my main concern. Strength for the road ahead. Thank you for your humility enough to hear my opinion and thoughts. I will say this, I appreciate your willingness to address issues that people need to address in Christendom.
